(Go read Charlie's chapter to understand this one :) boy in picture is Ashur btw)

Ashur

Ashur suddenly awoke in a small room, he quickly recognized it, he had helped Thaddeus escape from here. He remembered what had happened earlier, Zagen taking him out of school, him running for it once he was outside.

Alastor had caught him once he stopped, and stabbed him with a syringe. Ashur could still see the stupid grin he held when Ashur fell in his arms. If I could've fought that damn chemical, I would wiped that smirk off his face.

Ashur picked up one of his arms to see it was wrapped in a cold chain, luckily the cold didn't affect him as much as it did for people with fire, but that didn't mean it didn't hurt him. His body already struggled to make enough heat for itself, since he had the ability to summon ice.

Ashur shivered, he couldn't stay here for long, it'd be only a matter of days before he froze. But Ashurs anger helped keep him warm, he hated what had happened, but how it happened is what stumped him.

Ashur tried to focus on the man that was with Alastor, he assumed it was Zagen, he had done research on him, but never saw any pictures. His blue eyes and dark orange hair is what blew it for Ashur, he looked creepily similar to Alastor, but they both had completely different personalities.

While Alastor was battle hungry, Ashur knew he wouldn't be able to stand a chance against him, Zagen looked too calm for what he was doing. Like he thought it all was a big joke, when he had held Ashur he felt the strength from him, despite his old age he wasn't weak.

Ashur jumped as the door opened, Ashur glared up into the cold yellow eyes of Alastor. "Enjoying your new home?" He said his grin growing as he saw Ashur struggle to stand. "Oh, cat got your tongue?" Alastor said, easily picking up Ashur.

His arms were held back by the chains, so he couldn't fight back. When Ashur didn't say anything Alastor punched him in the stomach, slamming him against the wall. Ashur yelped, slamming his head against Alastor's.

Alastor growled, grabbing Ashurs head and slamming it against the ice covered wall. After a few minutes of a beating from Alastor he finally let him go, he dropped Ashur to the ground and walked out.

Ashur wiped some of the blood off his head, it was dripping down his side from when Alastor slammed him against the wall. Ashur brought his legs up against his chest, he didn't care if it was a defensive posture.

He had learned that if he held defensive postures, tried to make himself look as unthreatening as possible, people's protective instinct would kick in, and they'd leave him alone. He'd learned this after successfully escaping some hospitals using that, wait-

I can remember that? Ashur had been slowly regaining his memories, maybe it was because he was with Thaddeus and felt safer, but his parents death didn't scare him as much.

Ashur jumped again as the door opened, this time a taller older man entered, Ashur recognized him as Zagen. Ashur greeted him with a sharp glare, pushing himself even more into the corner.

Zagen sat down on the cold floor, still taller than Ashur. Ashur shot daggers at him, while Zagen smile slightly. "Come on Ashur, I won't hurt you." Zagen said, holding out a hand to Ashur.

"Bullshit." Ashur growled, denying the hand. Zagen seems a little taken aback, but the look quickly disappeared. "Seems your not gullible, it makes me wonder how you fell for Thaddeus' lies." Zagen said, Ashur just glared at him.

"What lies." Ashur said, more of a demand than a question. Zagen had a quick look of victory before it was smothered with fake kindness. "Y'know, the lies that he cares for you." Zagen said, Ashur felt his boldness falter.

He's lying. He's lying. Ashur drilled that into his mind to keep himself from crumbling in front of Zagen. "Come on Ashur, you really didn't think he cared for you, right? Thaddeus is just like that, he manipulates everyone around him. He only wants you for your powers, he wants an upper hand against me and Alastor." Zagen said, Ashur stayed dead silent.

"You're just a pawn in his game, let me help you." Zagen said, Ashur snapped back to attention. "With me you'll never doubt your safety, I promise." Zagen said, Ashur stayed quiet before talking. "Pinky promise?" He asked, his voice quiet.

"Pinky promise." Zagen responded, holding out his pinky. Ashur interlocked his pinky with Zagen's. Zagen smiled and stood up, softly ruffling Ashurs hair. "You sadly have to stay here for a while, till we're absolutely sure your on our side." Zagen said, Ashur feebly nodded.

"And don't worry, Alastor might be mean but I'm not. You can always come to me if you need something." Zagen said, Ashur mumbled a "ok." Zagen closed the door behind him as he left, Ashur stayed still for a moment before hiding his face in his hand.

He cried to himself, he felt so weak, both physically and mentally. After what Alastor did to him he just wanted to fall asleep, but he worried if he did he'd never wake back up. And with what happened with Thaddeus...

Ashur cried harder. How could he do that to him? He believed everything he said so easily, followed every word he said. He was in awe of him over every little thing he did, he just wanted a brother, a family, someone to watch over him.

But now he knew that was a stupid dream, there'd never be anyone to help him. Anyone who wanted to was either dead or faking it, except Zagen. He'd be the one who helped him, he told Ashur about Thaddeus' true intentions, so he'd forever help him because of that.

For now though he couldn't do anything, he just wanted to forget it all. To forget all the good memories he had gotten of Thaddeus, they hurt too much. Maybe my amnesia will do it itself, it'll just rid me of all those horrible memories.

Ashur stayed where he was, crying to himself. After a while he suddenly stopped, looking around he had forgotten what happened. Only the hateful words about Thaddeus were left, nothing else. He was here to help Zagen and Alastor, to take down Thaddeus.

There was nothing holding him back, nothing at all. Well, that's what he thought. There was blank space in his mind when he thought about Thaddeus, so he assumed he had never even met him. Or...

Maybe he'd just forgotten it.
