Alastor

Alastor sat in a small apartment, after he had met Athena he started staying here. Plus he couldn't live with a man who he was starting to distrust, starting to regret everything he every did for him.

Apparently, after Alastor and Zagen had left Athena she was rushed to the hospital. There the doctors were able to stabilize her, and she was released after a while. She still had a weak upper body, but it wasn't such a big deal according to her.

Weird, I swear she had been shot in the head. Alastor shook the thought away, he'd be grateful Athena was back, and wouldn't question it at all. Alastor smiled as Athena came through the door, sitting down on the bed.

"I'm gonna go now, Zagen is probably wondering where I am." Alastor said, getting up. Athena nodded, standing up to give him a hug. Alastor quickly accepted it, just seeing Athena made him feel invincible.

He left after Athena pulled away, he walked quickly back to home. When he entered he saw Zagen sitting in his chair, his cold gaze locked onto him. "And you were where?" Zagen said, Alastor felt his cool attitude drop.

"I um, spent the night at Truman's house. He um, needed some help... with an assignment... yeah." Alastor said, his voice lowering to a mumble towards the end. He always did this, and he hated it, he always shrunk in Zagens cold gaze.

"That's the best you could come up with?" Zagen growled, standing up. Alastor's eyes widened, he stumbled back, trying to get away from the approaching Zagen. "I- I don't know what you mean, I'm telling the truth!" Alastor said, speaking quickly.

"Your terrible at lying Alastor, tell the truth and I'll let you off easy." Zagen said, his eyes held a threatening look. Alastor trembled, but held his ground, he wouldn't give up Athena, no, that'd put her in danger again. Zagen growled before back handing Alastor, leaving him there in shock.

Alastor winced, he brought his head back up to only be hit again. Alastor felt the mark on his cheek, it burnt. Probably from Zagens fire, he never held it back when he punished Alastor.

After a few minutes Zagen stopped, he grabbed Alastor's face, holding in roughly. "Next time," He growled, his cold blue eyes staring into his soul. "I won't be so merciful. I thought you grown out of this rebellious shit, it's disappointing." Zagen said, letting go of Alastor.

He walked away to his chair, and Alastor ran outside. Have to find Ashur, have to find Ashur. Alastor thought, he was ready to go with him, ready to leave Zagen. Ashur ran to the alleyway, sitting down on the cement floor.

He rested his head against the wall, waiting for Ashur. After a few minutes the familiar blue haired boy appeared, smiling at Alastor, Alastor gave a small smile back. Ashur came and sat down next to him. "Have you decided what you want to do?" Ashur said, his bright blue eyes staring at Alastor.

Alastor nodded. "I want... I want to be- be good." Alastor said, the words sounded weird from his mouth. Zagen had always told him people who wanted to be good were weak, fools who believed in a fantasy, peace.

Ashur beamed. "Awesome!" He said, springing up, Alastor stood up afterwards. "I'm going to still stay with Zagen, I can't stay with you. Thaddeus wouldn't ever let me, I mean me, Alastor being good?" Alastor said, he stiffened as Ashur tensed.

His body language looked to completely change, his mood going from cheerful to mad. "Ashur?" Alastor said, looking at Ashur. "Welcome back Alastor, I can't wait to have some uninterrupted fun." Ash said, his deep voice shook Alastor to his very core.

"Aw, is someone scared?" Ash teased, walking towards Alastor. Alastor backed away, hitting a wall. Ashur made a ice shard, getting ready to hit him. Alastor fell to the ground to avoid it, his blue eyes reminded him of Zagen, which scared him even more.

Ash grinned down at him, he leaned down, holding the ice shard to his neck. "It'd be so easy, to kill you right here." Ash said, lightly tracing the shard against Alastor's neck, the coldness it left burnt. "Sadly I cannot do that." Ash said pulling the shard away, Alastor was able to breath again.

"Instead I'll make you fear Ashur, be terrified if I could come out at any second." Ash said, a psychotic grin on his face. He punched Alastor, ice chipped on his knuckles. Alastor winced as his face hit the wall.

He turned back to Ash, who was staring at him in shock. Alastor knew it was Ashur now. Ashur looked at the shaking Alastor, his eyes were wide and full of fear. "Alastor! I'm so sorry- are you ok?" Ashur asked, going forward to try and help.

Alastor jumped, pushing himself away from Ashur as he covered his face. Ashur stopped, looking hurt as he looked at Alastor. "I'm sorry. I can't control him, I wish.. I wish he would just disappear." Ashur said, his voice soft.

Alastor slowly let down his hands, looking at Ashur. "It's ok, it was probably my fault anyways." Alastor said, getting up. Ashur opened his mouth to protest but stopped to move out of the way. "Oh! I know a way to let Thaddeus know you're gonna go good." Ashur said, a huge smile on his face.

Alastor softened. "And that is?" He said, Ashur beamed at the fact Alastor wanted to know his offer. "You have to apologize for everything you did." He said, Alastor's kind mood dropped. "Yeah, not gonna happen." Alastor said, he knew he had a huge ego, one that could most definitely not take a hit that big, apologizing to Thaddeus.

Ashur shook momentarily before speaking. "Do it. Or else." Alastor noticed it was Ash, Ash shook and Ashur looked back at him, his huge smile back. "Fine, I'll do it." Alastor sighed, Ashur jumped for joy.

Alastor let out a small laugh, he hadn't seen someone act so childish since Truman was younger. "You can laugh?!" Ashur teased, Alastor smiled at him. They walked together to another alleyway, Alastor guessed Ashur had told Thaddeus to wait there for this reason.

Alastor saw Thaddeus leaning against a wall, his eyes narrowed when he saw Alastor. Ashur gave him a look, and Thaddeus seemed to calm a bit, but Alastor could feel his aggressive gaze pinned onto him. Ashur waited for Alastor to begin, he stood next to Thaddeus. Alastor couldn't help but feel nervous.

"Um, I'm sorry Thaddeus, for... everything I did when we were younger." Alastor looked towards Ashur as to ask if that was enough. Ashur shook his head, telling Alastor to continue. Alastor sighed silently. "I'm also sorry for everything Zagen did, and, I'm extremely, extremely, sorry for Brooklyn. I see now that it was horrible, and I'm sorry." Alastor said.

That wasn't a lie, he had felt horrible about killing Brooklyn, but was seeing red because of Athena's death. I shouldn't feel bad at all, a life for a life, we were even. Alastor pushed those thoughts away, he had to leave that part of him behind if he wanted to change.

Alastor looked at Thaddeus, he looked completely unimpressed with this, but was oddly twitching. Shit. He's gonna act like when we were younger, he's gonna attack me. But Thaddeus didn't do anything, Ashur interrupted. "Ok, thanks Alastor." He said, pulling Alastor away from the situation.

"We can keep meeting at this alleyway ok? I'll be here on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays in the afternoon." Ashur said, Alastor nodded. Ashur left him, walking back to Thaddeus. Alastor sighed.

This 'being good' would be a challenge, and he knew it. But it was better than obeying Zagens every order.

He was tired of being used.
