Alastor
Alastor drove up to a pier, he parked his car in a nearby parking lot to a restaurant. If Thaddeus and Ashur were really here he couldn't let them know he was here too. He got out, his concealed gun hidden in his jacket. He always wore a green jacket, it was a gift from Truman.
And because Alastor wasn't able to see Truman often, he wore the jacket to always carry a part of Truman with him. Alastor walked to the pier, taking light careful steps to keep his presence hidden. He turned a corner and saw Ashur sitting there, looking at the water.
Alastor grinned, if Ashur was here Thaddeus couldn't be too far behind. Alastor shivered at the cold air. Ashur would be at a advantage now, the area was already cold enough, and if Ashur managed to land a hit on him Alastor would be freezing.
Don't let him get a hit then. Alastor thought, he couldn't afford to get hit with ice. Especially with his fire, he was sensitive to cold. So if Ashur hit him in the already cold area Alastor might not make it out.
Alastor shook his head, he couldn't think like that. He slowly made his way over to Ashur, who saw him after a few moments. He opened his mouth to call for help but Alastor beat him to it, grabbing him and covering his mouth. Ashur growled, he smacked Alastor's hands, trying to get out of his hold.
Alastor heated his hands up, making Ashur let out a muffled cry. "You scream, and I kill you." Alastor threatened, Alastor let go of Ashur, holding him up by the collar. "Oh, but forgot that you're dying either way." Alastor said, a smile creeping onto his face.
Ashur glared at him with nothing but resentment, his hands dropped in temperature. Alastor panicked, he started to pummel Ashur before he could attack. Hitting him anywhere, really Alastor wanted to make it quick and painless. He brought back his fist to grab his gun, it was halfway out when he was shot with a wave of fire.
Alastor stumbled back, wincing in pain. The fire wasn't normal, like it was made just to be made. No, it was backed up with an emotion, which made it more powerful. Alastor looked to his right, where the fire came from, and saw Thaddeus, his eyes filled with rage.
He walked over to Alastor, creating a ring of fire around them. "Remember this?" He said, picking up Alastor by his shirt. "You did almost the exact same thing to me when I supposedly 'hurt' your brother." Thaddeus said, Alastor stared at him, wondering where he was going with this.
"What were you going to do, stick my head into the flames?" Thaddeus asked, Alastor's eyes widened. "Maybe we should test that out." He growled, he shoved Alastor's head into the fire wall. Alastor let out a scream, the fire didn't physically affect him, because his hair didn't burn. But he still felt all the pain, and it hurt like hell.
Thaddeus pulled him out, a crazed look in his eyes. Alastor was breathing heavily now, but his body was no longer cold, and he felt ready to burn a city down. He punched Thaddeus, making the fire wall disappear. Thaddeus growled, he punched Alastor, sending him to the floor.
Alastor got up but was pulled back down, Ashur had shot him with a thing of ice, pinning his back leg down. Alastor felt a shiver go up his body, and his fire inside died down. He broke the ice with his other leg, and narrowly avoided a shot of fire from Thaddeus.
Thaddeus punched him, pushing him towards the water. Alastor grumbled, punching Thaddeus back. Alastor shot Thaddeus in the chest with fire, sending him back a bit. Alastor's gaze switched to Ashur, he figured Thaddeus would be harder to kill, so he might as well get one of them out of the way.
Alastor ran off to get to Ashur, but Thaddeus grabbed him and pulled him back by the hoodie. He held him up, punching him repeatedly in the face. "Your problem is with me, not him." Thaddeus growled. "Actually, it's with both of you. Sorry, you aren't my priority today." Alastor said, giving Thaddeus a witty smile.
Thaddeus glared down at him, punching him again. "Don't give me your shit Alastor, this time you're not getting away easily." Thaddeus growled, he held Alastor above the water, his feet dangling. Alastor's eyes widened as he realized, the water had to be at least freezing temperature, and with the condition he was in...
Alastor held onto Thaddeus' arms for dear life. "Thaddeus- calm down- it doesn't have to be like this." Alastor said, laughing nervously. "Oh but it does, I know your dumbass won't leave me alone unless you're dead." Thaddeus growled, releasing his grip on Alastor a little.
Alastor scrambled holding onto Thaddeus even tighter. "Wait- wait!" Alastor cried, his voice full of fear. "I'll leave you both alone- I'll leave Zagen, fuck it, I'll leave the state! Don't do this." Alastor pleaded, he saw Thaddeus smile, he was enjoying it.
"Please," Alastor said, his voice desperate. "I don't want to die." He said, being returned with Thaddeus' cold glare. He pulled Alastor real close to his face, almost touching noses. "Y'know who else didn't want to die? My mother." Thaddeus spat, he shoved Alastor away, dropping him into the endless water.
Alastor fell in, splashing water everywhere. He quickly sank, trying to get back to the top. He had never learned to swim, after all water was another thing that hurt him. So extremely cold water was almost like poison to him. Alastor let out a scream, his hair coming to a bright light.
The water around him warmed up, but it wasn't enough. The coldness quickly came creeping back. After a few more seconds of struggle Alastor felt his lungs start to fill with water. He stopped moving, slowly sinking to his death. All he could think about was what he'd done wrong.
He followed Zagens every word, even the ones that led him to his death. And everyone he was leaving, Truman, Sam, his mother, and even his father, who'd he'd never even known until a few weeks ago. Where's my happy ending? How come I don't get a happily ever after?
Alastor thought, his eye lids starting to feel heavy. The answer started to dawn on him. There was no happy ending for him, life wasn't a fairy tale like the ones his mother always told him. No, it was nothing like that. And if it was...
He was probably the villain.
