{Ashur POV}

Ashur sat on the living room couch, his arms crossed. He had just learned he was being forced to go to school, and even Thaddeus agreed he should go. Ashur was already hating the idea.

Sure he hadn't talked to any other kids in two year, but how does that make them think he wants to? He wasn't in any rush to socialize with anyone at all. Even just talking to Antaura required him to build up a lot of courage.

Ashur sighed, he remembered when he had went to his first foster home. His foster sibling told everyone that he didn't have his parents, and everyone made fun of him. Ashur felt his breathing quicken as he thought about it more, the points, stares, the rumors about how they died-

Ashur jerked as Antaura lightly tapped him on the shoulder, he forced his breathing to slow as he gave a small smile. "You ready? We have to go now." She said. Ashur stared at her in confusion.

"Today? I have to go today?" He asked, Antaura nodded. Ashur sighed. "Fine. Yes, I'm ready." Ashur said, following Antaura as she walked outside. Ashur gave Thaddeus a goodbye wave as he followed, getting into the passenger seat of the car.

"To anyone at school you're name is Ashur Lynde, got it?" Antaura said, Ashur nodded. It made sense, when someone got ahold of his last name they could learn about his past, and the last time someone did that they tried sending him to a hospital.

Ashur sighed silently, he was praying to every god and goddess that no one would find out about him, he was tired of having to run away, to have to fight off some mental institution worker. Ashur stared outside the window, memorizing the way back to the house.

After a few minutes they pulled up to a large school. "Ok, I'm your cousin, I'll go and check us both in. You'll get your schedule, it's not a big deal, just don't make any commotion, ok?" Antaura said, Ashur nodded. She led Ashur into the school, taking to a lady at the front desk.

After a minute or two Antaura came back and handed Ashur a piece of paper. "We don't have any classes together, but here, take a copy of my schedule just in case." Ashur nodded, taking the other paper from her. "If anyone asks, your my cousin. Now go, don't be late to your classes." She said, Ashur walked away, still sort of in a daze.

His schedule said he was in 8th grade, luckily this school mixed 8th graders with high schoolers, so Antaura was there with him. Ashur entered his first class, sitting down in one of the back seats.

Everyone was talking around him, and Ashur couldn't help but feel uncomfortable. At least no one was taking to him, he could be comfortable in the silence he had. Ashur saw an older boy talking to some kids in his grade, it was supposed to be all 8th graders in this class, which was confusing.

This kid definitely did not look 14, so what was he doing here? The boy saw Ashur looking over and walked towards him. "Hi, you new here?" He asked, his bright green eyes gleaming as he looking into Ashurs dark blue ones. "Is it that obvious?" He asked.

"Well, you're the only one who isn't talking to anyone. And the blue hair doesn't exactly help you blend in." Ashur realized at that moment that his hair was still blue, he normally didn't keep it blue, so he'd forgotten that it wasn't black anymore.

"What's your name?" The boy asked. "I'm Ashur S- Lynde." He said, the boy nodded. "I'm Truman Anderson." Ashurs jaw dropped. "Anderson, as in, Alastor Anderson?" He said, Truman nodded.

"You know him?" Truman asked, a bit confused. "You could say that, he's a friend of a friend." Ashur said, Truman smiled. "Ok then! Anyways Ashur, can I see your schedule?" Ashur nodded, handing him the paper.
