{A few weeks after Charlie's chapter}
Ashur
Ashur sat in his room, he had been allowed to sleep in the room across from Alastor's, which was Thaddeus' old room. While he liked not having to be in the freezer prison, he hated this room for two reasons.
One, it was Thaddeus', and he didn't even want to be in the same room he once lived in. Two, Alastor was just across the hall, and the door didn't have a lock so he couldn't ever relax. He was afraid Alastor would come in at any moment and attack him, it wasn't rare anyways, whenever Alastor had a bad day, or had even the smallest excuse to beat up Ashur he would.
Ashur jumped as the door suddenly slammed open, Alastor was standing in the doorway. Ashur immediately stood up, quickly lowering the temperature in his hands. That way they'd be ready to make ice if Alastor attacked him.
"Don't be so jumpy, Zagen said me and you need to go out. We're looking for Thaddeus." Alastor said, pure amusement in his eyes as he saw Ashur tremble in front of him. Ashur never cared if Alastor saw him scared, there was always a slim chance if he did he'd stop, that he would be a decent person and realize what he was doing was wrong.
But that never happened. Ashur felt his anger rise, he wanted nothing more than to kill Thaddeus. He had left him to these two idiots, left him to rot with Zagen and Alastor. "Ok." Ashur said, he let his hands temperature rise again, and followed Alastor.
They walked outside to Alastors car, where he got into the drivers seat and Ashur into the passenger. He pushed himself against the door, staying as far away from Alastor as he could. He never knew when he could strike, that's what made Ashur scared of him.
He didn't care about any physical pain, he could take that after all. But Alastor could go from looking like the happiest man on earth to suddenly trying to kill Ashur.
While Ashur was daydreaming the car stopped, Alastor got out and Ashur followed. "He's been spotted around here lately. Remember, don't use your powers yet, you are of much more use without them." Alastor said, Ashur nodded, confused.
Why am I of more use without them? My powers could easily overpower anyone with fire if I catch them off guard, so why can't I use them?
Ashur shook his thoughts away, he had to focus now. They walked throughout alleyways, Ashur a bit behind Alastor. It would be so easy, to just kill him right here. He could make an ice shard and slit his throat, then run off and kill Thaddeus by himself.
But Alastor wouldn't just let that happen, he would fight back, and gladly take that as an excuse to beat up Ashur.
Ashur stopped before he bumped into Alastor, he looked up to see a man on the floor. His clothes were ashy, and Ashur guessed Alastor had shot him with fire. It took Ashur a second while looking into his multi colored eyes for him to realize, that was Thaddeus.
Thaddeus looked towards Ashur with love in his eyes, then looked back to Alastor and back to him. It was like he was expecting Ashur to attack him, to push Alastor away and help him. Idiot.
Alastor smiled and he squatted down. "Miss your little friend?" Alastor said, Thaddeus glared daggers at him. "Ashur- come on, you're choosing him over me? What has he done for you, I've been there for you ever since you helped me, he hasn't." Thaddeus said, Ashur laughed.
"You must be more crazy than I thought, nothing ever happened between us. After I broke you out you handed me over to Zagen, in return for your safety." Ashur said, Thaddeus stayed silent.
He had a heartbroken look, and Ashur felt his heart break. For some odd reason he felt he knew Thaddeus his whole life, when really he had only known him for that one day a long time ago.
