AlastorAlastor turned on his phone, looking through his emails. His eyes widened when he saw a certain email, it was for a funeral. Athena's funeral.
Alastor had put it off for a while, well, he didn't put it or rather Zagen did. He made sure to keep Alastor occupied after her death, and after Alastor had tried betraying him... well Zagen kept Alastor on a tight leash.
Alastor opened the email, it was inviting him to Athena's funeral, it was tomorrow. Alastor sighed, he'd make it his mission to convince Zagen to let him go. Alastor settled down to sleep.

Alastor woke up, quickly getting ready. He fixed his hair, he usually put it in a small ponytail to get the orange mess out of the way, but he wouldn't show up to Athena's funeral looking raged. He brushed his teeth, and put on his best suit. The only one without any burns or rips.
Alastor went downstairs, seeing Zagen sitting in his usual chair. "And where are you going all dressed up?" Zagen said, he pierced Alastor with his cold gaze, scanning Alastor for any signs of lying.
"That's what I needed to ask you, Athena's funeral is today and I wanted to go." Alastor said, Zagen scoffed. "Absolutely not." He said. "But-" "No buts, after your recent incident you owe me." Zagen said, Alastor felt a sinking feeling.
He did owe Zagen, he shouldn't have tried to betray him as easily as he had. It was weak, he needed to be loyal to Zagen. After all he had saved him, given him a place to call home, and power.
"But grandpa, can't I have this one reward? I promise afterwards I'll put in more time at the casino!" Alastor said, he knew calling Zagen "grandpa" threw him off a little, so he would call him that whenever he wanted something.
Zagen glared at Alastor, like he knew what he was doing. "Fine, but even one mishap and your coming straight back here. I'll have someone watching you, and you won't know who, so make sure you're on your best behavior." Zagen said, Alastor nodded quickly before leaving.
He entered his pickup truck, driving off.
{ At the funeral }
Alastor sat, droning off as he listened to a man talk. He didn't want to not listen at Athena's funeral, but he couldn't help it. Maybe it was the adhd? Alastor shook his head.
Alastor looked up as a woman approached him, she had bright white hair, and amber eyes. If she wasn't much older than him, Alastor would've thought she was Athena. "Hello there lovely, you must be Alastor?" She asked, Alastor nodded. "Athena used to talk about you all the time, I'm Mrs. Collin." She said, Alastor smiled at her.
"Why don't you come and eat with us, the ceremony continues in 20 minutes, and it looks like you're by yourself." Mrs. Collins said, Alastor agreed, following her to a table. He had decided he wasn't going to eat when he got here, he didn't want to use any money he had gotten from work, it seemed rude to use dirty money at a funeral.
But since Mrs. Collin and her husband were paying, well he'd eat a little. "Hon, who's this?" A man said at the table. "Oh that's Alastor, he was Athena's boyfriend, remember?" She said, the man, who Alastor assumed was Mr. Collin, nodded.
"Yes I remember him, never got to meet the man." He said, narrowing his eyes at Alastor. "Uh, yes, sorry about that." Alastor said, he went to shake the man's hand. Mr. Collin shook Alastor's hand, looking him up and down with distaste.
"You don't look like you were good enough for my daughter." He said lowly, only loud enough for him and Alastor to hear. "I promise you, I was." Alastor said back, watching his tone to make sure he didn't anger him anymore.
