{Two weeks after Charlie's last chapter}
Alastor punched Thaddeus, his head snapping to the side. After a while Thaddeus didn't put up much of a fight, other than his occasional struggle. Alastor backed away, brushing the blood off his hands. He left without a word, closing the door as it hissed.
He walked away, feeling better than before. Whenever he left after his 'talks' with Thaddeus he usually felt awesome. But lately it was getting boring, he didn't fight against him as much. As much as he liked a punching bag it was more entertaining if he fought.
Alastor got into his car, stopping as a loud crash echoed across the clearing.
(NEW CHARACTER UNLOCKED-)
{ Ashurs POV}
Ashur ran into the large casino, jumping through the rafters. He was quick and agile, he had a while to practice after all. Ashur winced at the memory, memories of the fire flashing by. He shook his head. He had more important things to focus on now.
After his parents had abandoned him he needed a place to stay. Living in abandoned buildings wasn't cutting it out for him. So after some research he found the Bancrofts.
Stories about Zagen, Alastor, and Eros had popped up. But Ashur felt that they were covering something up, hiding someone away. And he was right.
After some more digging he found Thaddeus, the young man who his family basically shunned. He could relate with Thaddeus, both of their families had left them. So they had no one. 'But now we can have each other!' Ashur thought.
After a while of following Alastor he had seen him dragging Thaddeus late in the night. It had taken a while but Ashur learned Alastors and Zagens usual routine with Thaddeus.
First Alastor came in and roughed up Thaddeus, he knew this because Alastor always came out with blood on his hands, and then Zagen would come. To talk with Thaddeus is what Ashur guessed.
Ashur jumped down, opening the big door quietly. Lying on the floor against the wall was Thaddeus, bleeding from his lip and bruises all over. He had been chained up, the chains restricting his access to the room.
Ashur had seen the room was rather cold, even though he didn't feel anything. After all he had...
It still felt weird even thinking it. To put it straight, Ashur had powers. Some similar to those of the Bancrofts. But instead of fire, he could control ice. His light blue hair was the only sign that he had it.
It would've been a dark blue, one similar to his eyes, if he didn't dye it occasionally. It made him stand out, and that wasn't good. Ashur got down, grabbing one of Thaddeus's chains. He had his eyes closed, he didn't seem to expect anyone to come in yet.
But that was normal. No one usually came in at this time. Zagen waited a few minutes before coming in after Alastor, so this was the only gap he had. After Zagen left Thaddeus would be heavily guarded, so he had to strike now.
Once Ashur picked up Thaddeus's chains he jerked, his eyes opening as he pulled away from him. "Calm down, I'm here to help." Ashur said, Thaddeus said nothing.
"Um, I can do this." Ashur said, a shard of ice appearing in his hand as he held it up. Thaddeus's eyes widened. Ashur went back to looking at his chains. They were melted into the base, probably with fire.
"I'll have to break the metal. Once I do get out and run. I'll follow, just be careful, Alastor will certainly follow once he hears it." Ashur said, he could see the quick look of confusion on Thaddeus face when he mentioned Alastor. 'Damn it, now he'll be suspicious because I know about Alastor.'
Thaddeus nodded, and Ashur focused on the chains. He made a small pool of water appear, one of the features of his power. He then made it freeze into a thick sheet of ice. Even though the room was surrounded in it Ashur couldn't mend that ice, he wasn't really experienced in mending ice that he didn't make.
After all who could teach him? Ashur made a dagger out of ice, stabbing the sheet he made. The metal, and the ice, broke. A loud crash coming from it. Thaddeus jumped up, running out. Ashur did the same, following after.
They quickly made it out of the casino, obviously Thaddeus had though about this often, because he knew all the shortcuts Ashur had struggled to memorize. Ashur stopped when the got outside, he quickly froze over the door, making it harder for whoever had to get out.
He was about to say something when a shot of fire raced past his face. He turned to see another man, Alastor. He knew how to distinguish him and Thaddeus apart from their hair, among other things. Alastor had orange hair, freckles, black earrings, and a large flame tattoo on his arm.
While Thaddeus had dark red hair, no freckles, no earrings, and no tattoo. Ashur ducked as Alastor sent over another wave of fire, he had to focus on this now, hoping all that training from earlier pays off.
Ashur sent a few daggers of ice over, Alastor narrowly dodged them. He was obviously caught off guard, he probably thought Ashur had no powers. Alastor sent over more waves of fire, making his way over to Ashur quickly.
Ashur dodged all of them, narrowly avoiding a punch thrown from Alastor. Ashur made his fist freeze over, slamming it into Alastors face. A satisfied grin grew on Ashurs face once he saw Alastor in pain.
Ashur quickly punched Alastor over and over again, taking advantage while the older man was confused. He knocked Alastor over, freezing him to the ground. He knew that cold hurt people with fire, so he made sure to freeze most of his body.
Ashur ran over to Thaddeus, grabbing his arm as he ran. He couldn't talk to him here, not with Alastor listening in. Once the were a good distance away he stopped, letting Thaddeus go.
"Who are you?" Thaddeus said, his eyes narrowed in suspicion. "I'm Ashur, and I kinda know everything about you and your family." Ashur said, he knew he sounded crazy saying that. He sounded like a stalker, but it was true.
Thaddeus seemed to skip over the fact Ashur had sounded rather creepy. "And you can do..?" Thaddeus started. "Oh." Ashur said, creating a shard of ice out of thin air. "I can make really cold water to help with that too." Ashur said, Thaddeus just slowly nodded.
'Hopefully he'll take me in. Hopefully I won't need to be alone anymore. Hopefully...' Ashur thought. He didn't want to be alone anymore. Not any longer.
'Hopefully.'
