On top of The Interceptor - Early Evening

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It had been less than an hour since the trio left Port Royal and were sailing in the open sea on the Interceptor. Artemis was leaning on the railings of the ship, watching the endless blue that surrounded them. She had missed it, seeing it vast and wild with no end. The horizon where the sky met the sea, two different hues of blue in perfect harmony.
That was a view she could never get tired of and she knew she never would. She could just stare at it for hours, especially when the sea was smooth and calm; just a perfect real-life painting with colours that no artist could ever dream to match.
Not that far away from her, Will was sharpening his sword while sitting on a barrel and Jack was steadying the ropes that held the sails. Young Turner was already telling the story of his past after Jack's request.
"...After she died, I came out here, looking for my father"
"Is that so?" Jack asked as he finished and made his way back to his favourite place, behind the helm.
"My father, Will Turner," the brunette exclaimed as he stood up and turned his body so his eyes could stay on the Pirate before following him. "And in jail, it was after you learnt my name that you agreed to help. Since that is what I wanted, I didn't press the matter" Will said as Jack checked yet another rope. "I am not a simpleton Jack, you knew my Father"
Jack let out a sigh and once securing the rope, he stood up and made his way to Will, stopping in front of the young blacksmith. "I knew him...Probably one of the few who knew him as William Turner. Everyone else just called him Bootstrap or Bootstrap Bill"
"Bootstrap?" Will repeated and turned to once again follow the Pirate, who was busy heading for the helm.
Artemis' attention was on them as well, her single eye following them and hearing their talk but her body stayed turned and facing the sea. She knew it was a personal discussion and she chose not to interfere unless she had to. Plus, she was rather curious of what more Jack seemed to know of Will's Father; since neither she nor her childhood friend truly knew anything about him.
"Good Man, Good pirate" Jack continued as he took his place behind the helm. "I swear you look just like him"
"It's not true. He was a merchant sailor, a good respectable man who obeyed the law"
"He was a bloody Pirate, a scallywag"
"My father... was not a pirate" Will hissed and pulled his sword, pointing at the back of Jack.
"Put it away son," Sparrow said after a roll of his eyes and keeping his back turned on him, mentioning the battle they had in the blacksmith shop the day prior. "It's not worth you getting beat again"
"You didn't beat me. You ignored the rules of engagement. In a fair fight... I would have killed you"
Oh Will, how naïve can you be? Artemis thought as she had turned fully to look at them, her back against the wooden railing. He is a bloody pirate. Pirates do not follow rules or laws. How did you expect him to do so? What will I do with you?
She was snapped from her mental scolding on her friend when Jack turned the wheel, causing the mast to turn and hit Will in the stomach. The young man dropped his sword and held tightly on the wooden pole as he hung above the sea.
Jack smirked, picked up Will's sword and pointed at the young man.
"Now, as long as you are hanging there, pay attention. The only rules that matter are there-"
