"i wish she had said something" do you really?
because let's imagine if she did
let's imagine if she came up to you and said "i'm depressed"
let's imagine if she told you how she felt when she felt it
let's imagine if every time you asked if she was fine, she said the truth
let's imagine she said the words 'i'm in pain'
what next?
what would you have told her?
that she's not alone?
she doesn't feel that way
that you're there for her?
how?
that she can talk to you anytime?
can she?
because what would you have done?
what would've changed?
would her depression fade?
her skin un-cut?
her heart un-break?
you say this now because you feel guilty
and even though it isn't your fault
it isn't hers either
this thing she faced was bigger than you
even bigger than her
so although it's not your fault
don't act like you could've helped if she asked
cause if she did
right now you'd just be burdened with knowledge that you knew and couldn't do anything
"i wish she had said something" no, you don't.
