(Narrator POV)
Izuku was flying though the air trying to catch up to Hawks. Yep. Hawks- the number three hero. He had agreed to intern with Hawks, and the entire internship so far had practically been a series of races between the two. There were a few fights Izuku could take notes on, but the majority of their time was spent racing each other, which not only built stamina, but quickened his flying and strengthened his wings.
They were nearing the place that they had marked as their finish line when Hawks stopped to put a hand on his ear. Izuku slowed to a stop next to him. When Hawks had finished receiving the message he pulled his hand down.
"Downtown Hosu is under attack by the League of Villains. We have to get there quickly."
The two of them quickly flew to Hosu, a good ten minute flight, and landed seeing the mess the city was in.
A screech was heard from up above and the two looked up.
"That's a nomu!" Izuku explained to Hawks as the hero used fierce wings to navigate any civilians.
"Oh- that weird thing from the USJ?"
"Yep."
As Izuku looked around to see who he could help without his quirk he heard a hero calling out, "Iida!? Where are you Tenya!? Has someone seen him?"
That's when it dawned on him. They were in Hosu, and if they were following The Hero Killer's patterns that would mean he was still here. Tenya wanted to get back at Stain for paralyzing his brother, so no wonder he wasn't here! He was out looking for Stain!
"Hey Hawks?" Izuku called to his mentor, "Can I go help look for Iida-kun?"
"Yeah- just don't get hurt!"
With the affirmation, Izuku took off toward the alley Stain had last attacked in. People were screaming and running all around him, but as far as he knew, none of them mattered right now. He had someone he knew he had to save, and these people were so far just fine. There were other pros in the area, but he was the only one who might be able to save Tenya with the information he had.
Izuku turned the corner into the alley where he thought Tenya might be, and sure enough, there he was. Stain was holding a knife above his throat while Tenya looked to be paralyzed on the ground- unable to move.
Before he knew what was happening he felt a beam of light come out of his halo and zap Stain away. As Stain got up, Izuku pulled out his phone and send his location to the class 1a group chat. He hoped someone would be able to decode the message and either tell the pros or lend a hand.
"Midoriya!? What are you doing here!?" Tenya exclaimed, still unable to move, "This is my fight- not yours!"
"Yeah, well people were looking for you and it doesn't look like you can actually fight right now." Izuku explained.
With that, Izuku took a deep breath and hoped he wouldn't die.

(Shoto POV)
I was walking around helping evacuate civilians when I got a notice on my phone from the 1a group chat. I checked and Izu had sent his location. Quickly thinking I realized that that was no mere coincidence- that was where Stain had last attacked and Izuku could be in danger! I took off running towards the location while shouting at Endeavor to come to the alley when he was done evacuating civilians and fighting the nomus.
When I rounded the corner to the alley, Izu was using his halo to keep Stain at a distance.
"You called?"
He turned around just long enough to see me, "Sho! Glad you're here, now help me out- would ya?"
Shot out my ice, making obstacles for Stain, but he sliced right through them. I sighed, this would be harder then expected.
"Use your fire- you need to train it so you can use both at the same time at some point!" Izu pointed out quickly before firing off another beam.
I gathered up the courage and quickly let my fire out, making an aim for Stain. He mainly dodged, but I smirked as I saw the tail end of one of his scarfs light on fire. Izu must have seen it too, as he made sure all of his attacks weren't hitting that area so it wouldn't put the fire out.
Soon the fire had gone up his scarf and was getting closer to his neck, that's when Stain noticed. While he was busy trying to quickly pat out the fire I froze his feet and Izu zapped the middle of his forehead just hard enough to make him pass out.
Izuku made sure to use his halo to make a rope so that if Stain were to wake up and still have weapons on him he couldn't cut through the rope. Just then I noticed Iida start moving, he seemed to be- crying?
"You two put your life at risk to save me!" And then bowing, "Thank you- I feel so guilty knowing I put you both in danger like that."
Izu smiled, "Iida-kun, I think you're forgetting a few things. We put ourselves out here to save you, you did nothing wrong to us. Also, we're heroes in training- this is what we're supposed to do! Help people in need!"
I nodded as Iida straightened up.
"Still, thank you."
Just then I noticed Izu.
"Holy shit! Izuku- I totally burned your arm! I'm so sorry- why didn't you say anything!?" I exclaimed while rushing toward him.
He laughed like his arm wasn't already blistering, "It's fine, I can't really feel it anyway."
That's when Iida started talking again, "No, Midoriya-kun, these burns look really bad. You need medical help immediately. Todoroki-kun, could you carry him on your back while I carry Native?" He pointed over to a corner where the pro hero Native sat looking at us in shock.
"Sounds good to me."
"Hey! I didn't get any say in this!?" Izu pouted, "At least let me drag Stain behind me with my quirk."
I nodded and he got on my back while Iida picked up Native. We walked out together with Stain dragging behind us. When we got out of the alley I heard people yelling and fire was blazing all around us. I heard Endeavor yell my name before he and his team rushed over. Hawks was with them.
"Oh my gosh! Tenshi! There you are!" Hawks yelped.
Izu chuckled, "Sorry about that Hawks.."
"Oh my gosh- is that Native?! And..."
"STAIN!?" All of them exclaimed simultaneously.
"Yes! And it is my fault! I went in pursuit of Stain for a petty cause! Midoriya needs immediate medical attention and Native is also in need of aid!" Iida pointed.
A few days later and internships were over. Izuku and Iida were still in the hospital, but I got to go back at the normal time. Everyone was so excited to be back, but Aizawa-sensei was in a worse mood then normal, no doubt because Izu was in the hospital. Of course it was nice to see everyone again, but it seemed, well... empty without Izuku there. Iida had gotten suspended with the excuse that his internship ran longer for a week more and Izu would come back as soon as he was discharged from the hospital.
"Hey Todoroki-kun?" Uraraka asked, "Where's Midoriya-kun? I always see you together."
"Oh. His internship ran long. He should be back soon though." I replied.
"Thanks!" Uraraka said as she bounced away.
I sighed. This was going to feel like hell without Izuku here.
