~Iria~
9/3/24
I didn't figure out the reason of the noise around us until some time later. We won, I haven't even realized the other couples were eliminated but I didn't move, neither did Ethan, our faces were too close and his hand lifted my leg, taking advantage of its inclination to travel my skin and meet my bare hips, getting under my panties.
We held our gazes and very likely our breaths too, my body didn't plan to move until the cheers approached and a bearded man wanted to give us a two-foot-tall golden trophy. Ethan gave up on the pose that brought us the victory then.
I cleared my throat about three times while we grabbed the trophy and took some pictures the judges forced us to take. I was sure my skin wasn't the only one with goosebumps and it wasn't just me the one who felt some sort of electrifying chill when we stare into each other's eyes.
I looked at Ethan out of the corner of my eye, I didn't dare to stare at him as intensely as before so I fixed my eyes on the trophy, smiling at it when I figured out I had a great time dancing. The trophy had two small figures dancing too, the couple held their hands as they were captured in one of the steps of the bachata.
It was cute, I liked it.
Soon the hype for our victory faded and we were left alone. I decided to face the situation with a smile that didn't reach my eyes.
"Do you want to take a walk around the place, husband of mine?"
Ethan nodded, he offered me his arm for me to grab it and we walked inside the building. We had already walked all over the exterior of the resort yet there were a lot of places inside that we hadn't stepped on.
I stopped in front of black door from which some opaque glass decorations let me see the neon lights beyond it. The music was what caught my attention, there was a sign close to the door where you could read 'Neon Party Tonight'. I looked up to Ethan with my eyes filled with innocence, I didn't know the resort had its own club but it didn't surprise me.
"You want to go to a party?" He looked at me from feet to head with a raised eyebrow. "I thought you would want to call it a day and go to bed."
I looked again at the flashes coming from inside the room, we have been in clubs during these past nine months but I felt forced to go to strengthen my friendship with Molly at first and Ethan just didn't notice I was there. Tonight was different, I felt a good chill running down my spine when we danced and I wanted to feel it again.
Even if tomorrow I forget about every good feeling.
"I feel like partying," I cracked a smile. "I remember it could be relaxing."
I pushed the door with my body, Ethan followed me inside the room without saying anything at all. From inside the darkness was appreciated, letting the neon lights have their stardom, people wore plenty of neon bracelets turned into necklaces and even glasses. The platform over which the DJ booth stood was the center of the huge room, it was bigger than many clubs I have been in.
It even had a counter.
When we first stepped on the place a woman with neon paint all over her body approached us, I realized then that everybody had drawing on their skin made up by that paint. The woman forced us to sit on a folding chair while her and her workmate covered our bodies with some drawing that stood up in the dark.
The woman tried to talk Ethan into taking off his shirt so she could paint some cool drawings on his back -like she had done on many people in the room- but he declined the offer. He showed himself very inflexible on his decision to keep his long-sleeved shirt on.
