SATURDAY MORNING

To think Kate would be dragging me around the mall all day was one thing

but the idea that she's insane enough to wake me up at 6am so we're there by the time the mall just opens definitely didn't cross my mind

the time is probably not even 8am

yet, we're already outside the mall

"can you stop glaring at me?" she said

"oh, sorry, I'm just trying to show how enthusiastic I am to be here" I said sarcastically

"yeah, yeah, you'll be thanking me after you find the right dress"

to be honest I hope she's right

I'm really looking forward to this dance

My attention shifted to a security guard who un locked the entrance to the mall

"finally" I groaned as I began making my way inside

"okay so here's the list of shops we need to visit, let me know if you want to add any" Kate said placing a little note in my hand

my eyes widened at the long list

"there's no way one day is enough for all of these"

she pretended not to hear me as she entered the first store

here we go

AROUND NOON

It's official

I can't feel my legs anymore

We've been here for about 4 hours now

and we still haven't found anything suitable

we're both exhausted, sitting on a little sofa inside one of the stores

I glanced over at Kate

she was looking at the list of the stores

first 7 we're already crossed

5 to go

"what's next?" I asked tired

"mcdonalds"

oh thank god

I'm starving

"great, let's go" I said urging her to get up

we had to go two storeys up

there wasn't much of a crowd so we got our food pretty quick

as I was eating my fries I heard my phone buzzing

I started searching through my bag for it

I finally found it and saw that I have two new text messages from Nathan

HOCKEY MORON: "hey Gia"

HOCKEY MORON: "I know I said I wouldn't bail on you for our ice-skating lessons this week but our coach just told us that we have practice on tuesday"

I quickly texted him back

ME: "it's okay, we still have thursday"
