Chapter 18

MONDAY

"you seriously don't remember anything?"

Kate asked one more time while we were walking back from the cafe

"I remember us dancing and going upstairs but everything after is just blank"

that's partially a lie

I remember everything that happened while I was waiting for Kate to get out of the bathroom

At first I didn't want to leave my room this morning because just the thought of seeing Nathan today made me fill up with embarrassment

I noticed how the watch was gone

I know that Nathan took it but for a moment then I wanted to believe that it was all just a dream

I mean seriously, how could I do something like that yesterday?!

he didn't seemed bothered by it though

what I don't understand is why wouldn't he kiss me?

yes I'm actually bothered by that

like am I not kissable or something?

I can't believe I'm questioning my sanity because of him

and on top of everything I have to spend basically the whole afternoon with him and my parents

I feel like the awkwardness between us will be just too much

I wonder if he's freaking out about everything just like me

but I'll worry about that later, right now I have to focus on my presentation

my next class is history

I just want to get over with this whole thing already. I've been postponing it for way too long

"I'm going out with Isaac today so I probably won't be back at the dorms until late in the evening" Kate said bringing me back from my thoughts

"okay, I have the dinner thing with my parents and Nathan today so I'll be late too" I replied

she let out a squeak

"you better tell me all about it when you get back"

"I will"

that reminds me

I haven't heard much from Nathan this week

the only talk we had was on saturday. We exchanged a few dry texts which is a little odd for him since he's not a dry texter

basically just:

ME: "hey, thanks for getting me back home safely yesterday"

HOCKEY MORON: "no problem"

ME: "I hope I wasn't too much of a burden. I don't remember much to be honest😅"

HOCKEY MORON: "no you were fine don't worry"

He basically pretended that nothing happened which bothered me even more

"right, I'll see you later then Gia" Kate said as she waved me goodbye and went her own way

I checked my phone

10.45am

I better get going as well, my class starts in less than 10 minutes
