Chapter 10

HIS POV

SATURDAY MORNING

The sound of my alarm clock woke me up

I got up right away

I'm really pumped up for today

There's a lot on stake

I need to win this match

"someone's excited about today" Isaac said when I walked out of the bathroom

"Kate texted you anything?" I asked

I walked to my wardrobe. I took out a pair of black sweatpants and a grey hoodie

I started changing when Isaac spoke up

"yeah, they'll be there in less than an hour"

I picked up my phone and checked the time

7.15am

"we should probably go. The coach said we need to be there thirty minutes earlier" I said grabbing my bag and heading to the doors

Isaac grabbed his things as well and followed me

There wasn't anyone at the ice rink yet

Expect our hockey team of course

"you're late" our coach said harshly

"sorry"

"you'll be sorry when we lose, and with that kind of attitude it might as well happen. Don't be late for your matches again" he said stern

geez, way to motivate us coach

but there's no need to worry, we won't lose today, I'll make sure of it

"are the others here already?" I asked him

"yes so you both better get your asses in the changing room before I drag you there myself"

someone's grumpy today

but I kind of get it, he and the opponent's team coach have been in each other's hair for a while now

He just doesn't want to lose against them again

We made our way to the changing rooms

Others were already there, changing into their gears

After about 10 minutes I was all set as well

I heard that I got a new notification so I checked my phone

it was Gia

a smile creeped on my face

GIA <3: "we're here"

I quickly got up

"I'll be right back" I said as I walked out of the changing room

I spotted Gia right away
