HIS POV

WEDNESDAY

Today is the match day

To say that I'm looking forward to it is an understatement

I cannot wait to beat those guys and take the win with my team

I could tell that everyone was pumped up for this match, especially since all of my teammates arrived at the ice rink almost an hour early

We all wanted to go through our tactics once more before the game and get a proper warm up

However, no matter how many times we went through them, our coach wasn't even closed to being content with them

"my grandmother could skate faster than that" he yelled at us

"I don't think there's an ice rink inside the grave" Isaac mumbled

"what was that Garcia?" the coach asked, his expression more than already pissed

"nothing" Isaac said as he gave him an innocent smile

He then turned to me and his smile immediately dropped

"he's gonna worn us out before the match even begins" he groaned

That reminds me, how much time is left until the match starts?

I took a quick look at the clock

10.15am

There's only 15 minutes left

I suddenly heard a bunch of noises and I turned my head towards the entrance of the ice rink

People were already starting to enter the rink

Where's Gia?

I want to see her

My eyes searched for her in the crowd and it took a while but they finally landed on her

My body moved on its own as I began skating towards the exit of the ice rink, ready to greet her

"and where do you think you're going Langston?" the coach asked as he stopped me

"someone I know just arrived and I-

"are they so important that you have to leave the rink right before the game?" he asked

"yes she is" I said with no hesitation

I heard the sound of skates come from behind me and I looked over my shoulder

Isaac skated up to us, his eyes on the crowd

"your lady arrived as well?" the coach joked

"yeah" Isaac smiled, this time it was a genuine one

The coach rolled his eyes at both of us before gesturing for us to leave the rink

We didn't need to be told twice as we made our way out off the ice

Kate and Gia were already waiting for us by the tribunes, no sight of Gia's parents
