Chapter 6

HER POV

I entered my room and immediately spotted Kate on the bed

she was starring at me intensively

this is the second time this week that I found her like this

the first time was two days ago, on wednesday, when I got to the dorms that day it was already pretty late since I stopped at a cafe shop for my own studying after our tutor session with Nathan

I later on found out that Isaac asked her to be his girlfriend and that they finally made it official

the happiness that was radiating off of her when she was telling me all the details made me realise how much she likes him

so if he even thinks about hurting her, my ex won't be the only one getting stitches because of me and this time it won't be an accident

anyway, I'm wondering what it is this time

"you okay?" I asked placing my bag beside my bed

"you've been with Nathan again?"

"yeah, we had another ice-skating lesson"

"you two sure do spent a lot of time together"

I gave her the 'I know what you're doing look'

"what, you can't tell me you don't feel any kind of affection towards the guy, he's smoking hot"

"I told you, I'm not falling for another hockey player"

she groaned and stood up

she walked to my bed and sat down beside me

"okay let's put the fact that he's a hockey player aside for a moment. Do you seriously not like him? not even a little?"

"Kate we've known each other for what a week, you can hardly form any feelings in such short period of time"

"what about after a month, do you think you could grow to like him?"

I scoffed

"not in a hundred years will I love another hockey player, they're all the same"

she let out a sight

"you're seriously gonna make me quote that sentence to Isaac?"

I frowned

"what are you talking about?"

"Nathan basically asked Isaac if he can find out what you think of him. And so Isaac wanted me to ask you everything I just did"

I can't believe he would actually involve my best friend in his little game

"if he wants to know so badly, he can ask me himself"

"so what do I say to Isaac?"

right, I understand her position, she just wants to do her boyfriend a favour, she's a people pleaser
