Chapter 27

Hi loves!!
I don't normally write notes at the beginning of the chapter but I wanted to let you all know that I'm going on a school trip from wednesday-sunday so I won't be able to publish the next chapter on friday. Therefore chapter 28 will be published next
tuesday(9th may). I'm really sorry for delaying the posting date, hope you understand.

HER POV

FRIDAY

I glanced at the clock

5 minutes left

I laid my head down on the table. I'm too tired to pay attention

My eyes shifted to my phone that was laying beside me on the table

I placed my hand over it and turned it around to see if I got any new notifications

And to my suprise, I did

HOCKEY MORON: "I'm leaving in an hour but I'll have my phone on me at all times so call me if anything happens"

Looking at his message, it's a little weird that I still have him saved under this name

But I kind of got used to it and just putting 'NATHAN' is way too plain

I'll have to think about this a little

I clicked on my keyboard and texted him back

ME: "I will, say hi to Evan and Suzanne for me"

Just as I was about to turn my phone off, another message appeared on the top of my screen

It was from Kate

KATE: "are you done for today after this class?"

ME: "yeah, you?"

KATE: "Same. Wait for me outside?"

ME: "sure"

I put my phone down after I sent the last message and took a look at the clock one more time

One minute left

The professor's voice started to bug me and I just wished for the bell to ring

I got up as soon as I heard the sound of the bell

I quickly packed all my stuff in my bag and practically ran out of the classroom

FREEDOM

I was making my way down the hallway and to the exit of the building when my eyes caught the sight of someone familiar

Nicole was standing by one of the lockers, taking what seemed like a bunch of books out of it

I walked up to her

"hey Nicole" I greeted with a smile

"hey Gia" she smiled back

"how are you holding up?"

"I'm fine, any news?"

"no, but I can guarantee you that I'll know more by the end of the day" I assured her

"good, I just want this whole thing to be over already"

"I know"

I glanced down at the floor, seeing a bunch of cardboard boxes

They were mostly filled with books

I looked up at her locker and saw that it was practically empty inside
