Chapter 14

WEDNESDAY

Today's biology class seems to be boring me more than it usually does

I keep glancing at the clock

the time is passing by slowly but I'm glad it does

To be honest I'm not entirely sure that I want to face Nathan today

what am I even supposed to say to him?

god, this is driving me crazy

we're supposed to move on to another subject today and it's not like math where I can just give him exercises to do and we don't have to talk that much

I rested my head on my hand and started scrolling through my phone

My eyes shifted to the top of my screen when I saw a notification appear

it was a text message from Kate

KATE: "you have no intentions to coming to the ice rink today right?"

I frowned at her message

ME: "no,why?"

KATE: "because Caleb's team is having practice there for the whole afternoon"

I forgot that they are already in the town from today on

ME: "thanks for giving me the heads up"

I really hope they won't have practice there tomorrow too. I'm supposed to practice with Nathan and Caleb being there won't do any good

The bell suddenly rang, announcing the end of the class

noooo

I don't wanna leave yet

but on the bright side, Nathan's probably already at the library so I won't have to see him for another 20 minutes

I grabbed my bag and walked out of the classroom

The hall was crowdy, students were pushing ecah other in order to get through

I barely managed to get out of the building in one piece

The weather is so nice today, the trees are already filled with colourful leaves, announcing that the spring's already here

There's so many poeple outside, talking to each other, taking selfies, studying

But there was one person that particularly caught my attention

a tall, dark haired guy, wearing black cargo pants and beige hoodie, was sitting on a near by bench

this guy seriously didn't take anything I said yesterday to the heart or what?

I let out a sight as I approached him

"you know most people would be mad after someone yelled at them like I did yesterday. And they definitely wouldn't be waiting for me after my class"

he tilted his head a little to the side and smirked at me

"but I'm not most people, you should get that much by now" he said lowly

"so that's it? you'll just pretend like yesterday didn't happened at all?"

his smirked dropped and he looked at me serious

"of course not. But I promised not to pressure you. I'll gladly go back to the way it was if you're okay with it. However that doesn't mean you shouldn't consider what I told you yesterday at our practice"

He stood up

"so you ready to go?"

I just silently nodded as I started walking beside him
