Chapter 48

HIS POV

TUESDAY

'One more time' I said to myself

I've been at the ice rink for the past two hours

I know Gia said we won't have another practice until friday but I can't help it

I want to be as prepared as I can be

It needs to be perfect, for her

At the moment I'm practicing my sitting position

I lost count of how many times I went through it but I still feel like I can improve it

I skated to the edge of the ice rink

My feet moved on it's own as I began advancing towards the very centre

I turned to the side and squatted down, my legs distancing from one another

I held the position for a few more seconds before I straightened up again

I skated around the rink for one more lap before I decided to take a little break

I exited the rink and walked over to the bench

My bag was sitting there, a bag of snacks beside it

I was initially planning to be here all day but that's only if Gia doesn't call me

We don't have any plans until friday and I don't think I'll be able to wait that long

I turned to my bag

My hand reached inside and got ahold of a little black box

I took it out of the bag and opened it

Inside were two promise rings

I picked them out about a week ago but I still haven't found the right time to give it to her

But lately, after the whole wedding and tattoo thing, I feel even more impatient

If I could I would marry her today, but we're still young and only 2 months into our relationship

I don't want to rush anything so these promise rings will have to do for now

Until I don't put the engagement one on her finger that is

I took my phone out of the bag as well and unlocked it

I clicked on my notes and opened the pinned one
