Chapter 11

HER POV

MONDAY MORNING

"wake up already" I heard that same words for like the 5th in the last five minutes

I groaned

"let me be Kate" I said as I pulled the covers over my head

they were suddenly snapped out of my grip

"get up"

"no, just tell them I'm sick"

"Gia, today is the most important day of the year, you need to go"

I finally looked up

She was all ready, her hair and makeup done. She was wearing a pink dress and white heels

"what's with the barbie look?"

"first off it's cute, second, stop changing the subject" she said smacking me in the head with my pillow

I turned my body away from her

"if Isaac can make it after yesterday's match then so can you"

"yeah about that, how is he?"

"he's got a few bruises but he said he'll live"

"that's good to hear"

She sat down on the bed beside me

"I still can't believe you haven't told me about the bet you did with Nathan before"

After yesterday's match I confessed everything to Kate. She was overjoyed and made me promise that I'll go today no matter what

"I already apologised for keeping things from you" I said as I finally sat up

I checked the time

8.30am

"I already missed my first class so what's the point"

"Gia Avery Holland" she said in a serious tone

"that's not my middle name"

she ignored my comment as she went on "don't tell me you'll actually go back on your word"

I scrunched my brows

"no"

"good, then go get ready for today's classes"

she basically pushed me inside the bathroom and placed fresh clothes in my hands before she closed the door

I brushed my teeth, tied my hair up in a ponytail and got dressed

I looked at my reflection in the mirror

"okay I can do this. It's just another day"

I stepped out of the bathroom, Kate right outside, grinning at me

"today's gonna be so much fun" she said happily as she wrapped her hand around my shoulders

I have mixed feelings about this whole thing
