Chapter 29

SUNDAY

"Gia" I heard someone call out my name in a soft tone

I slowly opened my eyes, the light bothering my eyes made me want to close them again

I looked to the direction of the voice and saw a face that made me form a smile on my face

"hi Nathan" I said softly

"you slept okay?" he asked, bringing his hand to my face and caressing my cheek

"I did"

I could see worry in his eyes and it made me think back to what happened two days ago

I remember asking him to stay and falling asleep in his embrace

The next day I mainly stayed in bed, only going downstairs for some food. I just felt sleepy for the whole day

My parents kept asking me if there's anything they can do even though I kept on assuring them that I'm okay

I won't lie, the whole situation was a really scary experience but I'm glad it didn't took too bad of a turn. I still have this weird feeling within me but Nathan's been a big help

He's always there, whenever I turned my eyes towards him, his eyes were already looking at me

When I got up after finish eating he always went back to my room with me, tucking me in and staying with me until I fell back asleep

Even when I woke up from a nightmare last night, he was the first one there to comfort me

I'm glad he's here, it makes me feel at ease

"Gia" I heard him call out my name once again, making me focus my attention on him

"your mom made lunch, we better get downstairs and join your parents at the table" he said

I quickly sat up

"wait, is already lunch time?" I asked

He nodded

Damn I slept for long

"okay, I'll just get changed, I'll be downstairs in a minute" I said as I got up

"okay"

I waited for him to leave the room before walking to the wardrobe

I took out a pair of sweatpants and a T-shirt and walked to the bathroom

I need to take a nice long shower before leaving this room, that's for sure

And so I did

While I was showering I went through everything that had happened in the last two days

First, the whole Alex situation

I told Nathan everything that happened, I didn't want to keep anything from him because I knew he would only worry more that way

He ended up pulling me into his embrace and not letting me go for I don't know how long. I remember just sitting there in silence, listening to his heartbeat and the silence around us

After he made sure that I was truly okay he let go of me but he did made me promise one thing

'I want you to keep the watch. If anything happens, I need you to able to let me know that. Even if it is something that you don't consider a big deal.

We sealed the deal with a pinky promise
