Chapter 8: Devil's Deeds

Joker had gotten out of Arkham and made it to Gotham. He took a deep breath and smelled the musty almost poisoned air that the worse parts of Gotham were filled with. He smiled as he walked down the streets seeing people flee in terror from him. "God I love this city!" He said as he wandered down the center of the street. Joker turned a corner and saw the brightly colored yet dinghy decor of his domain. He wandered in and was greeted by the smiling faces of his men.
"Hey Boss!"
"You got out!"
"Kill anyone on your way out!?"
The men all greeted him warmly and he headed up into his office. He stepped inside and smelled the sweet smell of flowers. He walked into what the often used as a bedroom and was immediately struck with the sight of Harley and Ivy completely stripped having sex. Joker immediately walked out and leaned against a desk.
"Mister J! I didn't know you were back!" Said Harley as Joker chuckled.
"That's obvious!" Said Joker as Harley stepped out in her robe.
"Are you mad?" Asked Harley as Joker lowered his head.
"No, it's fine Harls. After all I do the same to you, it's only fair." Said Joker as she smiled.
"Thanks Mister J." Said Harley as she had a thought. "Right!" Said said as she rushed into the bedroom and came back out. "Here, you asked me to keep this safe for you." Said Harley as she handed Joker his cellphone.
"Thanks Harls." Said Joker as he took it from her. Joker then got dressed in his traditional purple suit and slid the phone into his breast pocket.

Joker decided that the first thing to do before going to see Sarah was to kill the man who killed her heart. Joker made his way down to the Iceberg Lounge to find that it was empty. He wandered inside the large open room until suddenly he heard a bunch of guns cock above him causing him to look up. Above him on the balcony that lined the room he saw about 20 armed men aimed at him and across from standing on the balcony was Oswald. "Next time you want to kill me make sure Ed's not in ear shot." Said Oswald as Joker held up his hands in utter defeat.
"Well I guess I'm beat but I do have one thing to say. You have got to be the lowest piece of scum in Gotham to force your own son to break my daughter's heart but also his own just because you can't get over your own ego! I wouldn't say I was pleased to eat that you and I were gonna be related by marriage but I was still willing to deal with it. You should consider yourself lucky that Daniel wants anything to do with you. Oooh and when Sarah finds out about what you did, well I won't be the only one you have to worry about." Said Joker as he watched the expression on Oswald's face change like he had just realized what he had done to his own son. As Oswald reeled Joker left.

After all of that Joker decided it would be a better idea to call Sarah now that he had failed in the one thing he set out to do. The phone rang for a moment then a car pulled up in front of him. "Dad?" Asked Sarah as she rolled down the window.
"Hey kiddo!" Said Joker with a large grin as Sarah sighed.
"Get in the car." She said in a defeated-like tone as Joker walked around to the other side and got in the passenger. The drive was silent until Sarah pulled into the alley behind her house and parked in the back driveway. "Why did you escape?" Asked Sarah trying to stay calm.
"Why did you leave?" Asked Joker quickly.
"Because I'm pregnant!!" She shouted as both of them just froze. Sarah averted her gaze while Joker just sat there shocked. Suddenly he scoffed.
"Why couldn't you just say that?" Asked Joker as Sarah looked up.
"What?" She asked confused. "I thought-"
"You thought what? That I'd lose my mind?" Asked Joker as Sarah nodded.
"Well yeah, you haven't had a really good track record with finding out about things I do in my personal life." Said Sarah as Joker paused.
"Ok yeah you're right and I would've been pissed if this had happened when you were in highschool but you're an adult now so do what you want, I'm not gonna stop you." Said Joker very calmly as Sarah just looked at him. "Guess Ozzie broke you two up for nothing." Said Joker as Sarah looked at him.
"What are you talking about?" Asked Sarah firmly as Joker looked at her.
"Well I assume that you and Danny Boy are back together right?" Asked Joker as Sarah looked at him.
"Are you saying that Oswald had something to do with Daniel cheating on me?" Asked Sarah as Joker nodded.
"Yeah, apparently he made Daniel do it to prove his loyalty or something like that." Said Joker as Sarah sighed.
"Huh. That actually puts a lot in perspective for me." Said Sarah as she got out of the car.
"Wait what does that mean?" Asked Joker as he got out too.
"Well for the life of me I couldn't figure out why Daniel slept with another woman, everything had been perfectly fine before that. We were pretty happy so I couldn't figure why he did it but him not being the one to make the choice kinda makes a lot of sense actually." Said Sarah as she walked towards the house. "I mean I've known for as long as Daniel and I have known each other that if it came down to it he would pick Oswald over me without even really thinking about it. That's always been very obvious, I just sorta hoped that Oswald would never pose such an ultimatum." Said Sarah in a saddened kind of tone. "But I guess it hurts a little more now to know that no matter much I loved him, he couldn't love me the same." Said Sarah as she stood by the steps of her back porch. She stood there for a moment then went inside.
