Joker sat on Sarah's couch holding his breath as he remembered lifting the cold steel revolver, the feeling of hot tears down his face, the smile on the other man's face, and the words I love you said so sweetly as he was shot in the chest. "What happened after that?" Asked Sarah as Joker sniffed and wiped the tears off his face.
"Um... They wrapped him in plastic and dumped him in the river, then they gave me this red helmet, said it was to disguise my identity. I got them into Ace Chemicals but the guards caught us. We ran but they got caught by the guards, I wasn't so lucky." Said Joker as he chuckled. His low sort of chuckles turned into his typical maniacal clown laughter which made Sarah uneasy not by the laughter itself more of the intent behind it, why he was laughing. "I was stuck running from the Bat! I ran from him until I was up against this flimsy railing. He actually tried to talk to me, he said everything was gonna be ok...but it wasn't I told him it wasn't ever gonna be ok ever again. I told him what I did and he actually looked sorry for me.... He still tried to talk to me, he was trying to help me then I stepped back too far. The metal grate flooring and the metal railing was rusted so it gave way when I tried to steady myself. Bats reached out to try and save me but I was just out of reach." Said Joker as he held out his hand like he was immersed in his memory. "I fell into this chemical vat, the stuff made my skin feel like it was on fire!" Said Joker he winced remembering the awful burning sensation of this stuff on his skin. "It felt like I was drowning in fire, I swear I swallowed a bunch of that stuff. I fell to the bottom of the vat and then I guess I passed out because I woke up God knows how long later gasping for air on the bank of the river." Said Joker as he flopped back against the couch and sighed.
"Why are you telling me this now?" Asked Sarah as she leaned on the couch and looked at him.
"Because my first kill is coming back to haunt me." Said Joker as he looked over at the other side of the couch and saw the man standing by the end of the couch.
"Aw Jack you could say it nicer than that." Said the man's sweet voice as he smiled. Joker's hallucination of him wasn't clear, the man's eyes were crossed out like they had been scratched out on a photograph.
"I presume you're seeing things, right?" Asked Sarah as Joker sighed.
"Yeah, surprise. You're crazy because of me." Said Joker very unenthusiastically.
"And also traumatic experiences but that's besides the point." Said Sarah as Joker stood.
"It's been 30 years since I killed him! Why now? Huh?! Why now is he choosing to come after me?" Asked Joker as he paced for a minute.
"Dad you've made up story after story of how you came to be the Joker and when asked why you lied about who you were before, you've stated many times that you prefer to not remember your own past. You've even told me that you only get flashes of your memories and they're never clear. Have you given any thought on why now you remember your own past?" Asked Sarah as Joker stopped and thought about it.
"That's why I came to you, kiddo. You know all about this psycho nonsense, so do what you do! Analyze me." Stated Joker as he sat down on the couch next to her.
"Let me get this straight, you want me to do a full on session with you and not get paid for it?" Asked Sarah as Joker paused.
"Well um... I didn't really think of it like that." Muttered Joker but Sarah didn't seem displeased by his request.
"Let me get my stuff." Said Sarah as she seemed more excited than she really should've been.

Sarah went upstairs and came back down with a tape recorder, an old spiral notebook with sticky notes sticking out of it, and a manila folder with a photograph of Joker cut out of a newspaper. "What is all this?" Asked Joker as Sarah set everything down on the coffee table.
"Well when we have sessions at Arkham it's less like a session and more like us just spending time together and don't get me wrong I look forward to our sessions, they're not exactly something I can turn into Malcolm." Said Sarah as she sat down in a chair that was diagonal of the couch. "And this is going to sound pathetic and honestly sort of insane taken that you're my father but ever since I was a teenager I always sort of imagined being an actual professional session with you. Whenever I would think of myself as a professional psychiatrist, you were always my patient so having our sessions go the way they do is sort of a dream killer." Said Sarah softly as she hugged the notebook. Joker quickly realized how much Sarah had looked forward to this day and decided to indulge her little fantasy.
"Well then Doc, show me whatcha got." Said Joker as he crossed his arms over his chest with a smirk across his face but though it appeared to be a smirk of arrogance, inside it was a soft smile as he found Sarah's little fantasy to be rather adorable.
