Sarah opened her eyes and found herself strapped to a chair with leather restraints. Her eyes adjusted to the dim room and suddenly she got flashbacks of when she was kidnapped as a teenager then finally recognized where she was. "Indian Hill..." She stated quietly as she heard a door swing open behind.
"Good morning Sarah, I'm sorry the guards were so rough last night." Said the familiar voice of Abigail Dupont.
"What do you want with me Abigail?" Asked Sarah coldly as Abigail chuckled.
"Oh many things, my dear but first meet Arkham's new Head of Research, Dr. Anita Halestrum." Said Abigail as a young woman with long dark brown hair tied back in a braid, an olive tone to her skin, deep brown eyes, and thin circle rimmed metal glasses. She wore a long black skirt with a white dress shirt and brown sweater vest over it.
"Nice to see you again Sarah or should I say Project Chimera." Said Anita with a large grin.
"Have you met?" Asked Abigail as Sarah huffed.
"We were lab partners in Chemistry class at Gotham High." Said Anita with a grin.
"You're a fucking psychopath Anita!" Barked Sarah as Anita grinned.
"Strong words for the Asylum inmate!" She said as Abigail grinned.
"Well Dr. Halestrum I'll leave you to your work, and by the way you'll get your test subjects when I get progress on the reason I hired you." Said Abigail as she walked away.

Anita began filling pint bags full of Sarah's blood. She started with the normal amount a regular person could handle but realized Sarah was completely unaffected by what would typically make a normal human pass out from blood loss. "My my! When Abbie said you were immortal I didn't think you were like this!" Said Anita as she spun around in her swivel chair and grabbed four more pint bags.
"What exactly are you planning on doing with my blood?" Asked Sarah as Anita booped on the nose.
"Lots of things!" She said excitedly as she continued taking blood.

Once she had almost 2 gallons of Sarah's blood in 12 different individual pint bags she had two guards put Sarah in a cell that had a thick glass door. Anita then stepped in front of the door with another woman. "Sarah this is Dr. Octavia Wilson, she'll be our medical advisor for the tests we'll be running on you." Said Anita as the woman who stood next to her was very tall and slim. She had long black hair pulled back in a bun and thin thick rimmed glasses. She was much older than both of them and almost seemed like she didn't want to be here. "Now let's get started!" Said Anita with an excited tone as she held up a remote and pressed a button. Suddenly there was the sound of spraying in the cell and then Sarah started to choke on the air that tasted bitter as her mouth started foam up and she felt her throat start to close up. She collapsed and died right there on the spot. This was the first of many deaths she would endure. Anita explained later that she wanted to see just how immortal Sarah truly was.

The trials that Anita put Sarah through were truly to test what she could heal from immediately or what would actually cause her body to shut down and heal itself. They had her shot, suffocated, strangled, stabbed, gutted, drowned, and even dismembered but none of them actually killed her permanently. Each way they tried to kill her, her body survived and they found it absolutely incredible.

One day they were testing her ability to heal from electric shock therapy which Arkham no longer performed but it often had permanent and life altering effects on the human so they wanted to see if her brain could heal just as well as her body. While Sarah went through the electric shocks she actually felt pain for the first time since she was a child but that was because of something else not because of the shocks. Finally she saw Iris standing in her vision as she each shock was administered Sarah could see that Iris was in pain. She would scream and flicker with each bout of electricity administered to her mind. Sarah remembered something from her studies of her own mental illness. There were moments in a person who has Dissociative Identity Disorder where their alters could merge together and such a thing could often be incredibly painful for the host. Sarah wondered that with each shock were her and Iris becoming one person? Eventually Iris sat in front of her almost mirroring Sarah. "What are you doing?" Asked Sarah as Iris smiled softly. They sat there for a moment then another electric shock was administered and she was gone. The rest of the shocks gave Sarah no pain just as she expected.
