While the family was resting in the living room, getting to know the new member, Sol and Finn were in the kitchen baking chocolate chip muffins. Baking with Finn, she discovered, was very peaceful and relaxing. Although he had lots of questions, she was happy to answer them all. It pleased her that he had taken an interest in baking, even if it was to familiarize himself more with the times.

Once the muffins were in the oven, Finn and Sol moved to join the rest. She sat with Finn, the two still needing reassurances after the whole episode with Sage. She knew Sage loved Finn, but was it the type of love to respect his decision to be with someone else? That type of love was very rare, she knew it well, but the thought that Sage would come back didn't leave her mind.

Absently running her fingers through Finn's soft hair, she hummed as his nose found her neck. Only when Kai cleared his throat did she snap out of her thoughts of Sage. "Is this normal?" Kai whispered loudly to Niklaus who was in the seat beside him.

"Sometimes we vampires find the scent of our soulmates relaxing," Nik bobbed his head.

"Then, could we discuss what you mentioned before?" He looked at Sol, trying to ignore the way Finn grazed his nose along her neck.

"What do you think, Beks? Will he keep my secret to himself? Or do we tell him the safe version?" She teased, knowing Kai could hear her asking.

"You wanted him here, Sol. You make the decision." Rebekah shook her head, knowing they could fill him in on the actual truth later down the line when they believed him to be more trustworthy.

"I suppose so... I don't think he has anyone to tell," a mischievous smirk pulled at her lips. "Not that anyone would believe him if he did. He'll be stuck with us, his new family." Happily, she hummed. Kai was apart of her family now, and she would treat him appropriately. Which meant that he was privy to the knowledge she was from another universe.

The only ones who would believe his words about Sol's knowledge would be the ones in the room, his other family members. Truthfully, she didn't think Kai would run of and spread the word anyways. He had nothing to gain from it, she just wanted to mess with the sociopath a bit. She could tell she did so successfully when she saw his eye twitch and his knuckles turn white from gripping his hands together tightly.

Thus, once more, she began the whole 'I'm from another universe' spiel for him. When she heard the timer on the oven ding, Finn stood to take them out to cool. In his absence, Kol jumped over to sit next to Sol and pulled her into his lap. She laughed at his antics, but didn't move.

"A tv show? You're serious?" Kai furrowed his brows as he leaned back. Of course he was hesitant to believe the little witch, but she did manage to free him from her prison. How did she know about him and the Prison Worlds? How did she know the spell and it's requirements to open it? Not to mention she managed to get around some of the requirements.

"Deadly. Although, soulmates didn't exist in the show. That's something to wonder about." She tapped a finger against her lip. "Should I start with you then?" Nodding, Kai leaned back onto his knees, curious to hear just how much she knew.

Sol tried to keep it brief, but even her abridged version felt long as she explained the highlights she remembered of Kai's upbringing to the murder of his siblings. How, had she not freed him, he'd have spent a few more years in that prison until he had some surprise guests whom he threatened into letting him escape with them. Then, she moved on to stuff about The Merge. He'd tried to force Jo; which she had attempted to go along with, for the safety of her siblings, but Luke took her place, dying in the process. He'd gotten sick, and received Luke's empathy before absorbing Jo's magic anyway to cure his illness. She certainly didn't forget to mention him stabbing his twin on her wedding day— killing her. That was a bit of a low blow, she'd admit.

Another ding sounded from the kitchen. "Muffin?" She offered to Kai who was silenced by all the information he'd just been told. Used to the reaction by now, Sol pulled Kol into the kitchen to grab the muffins for everyone else. Promptly, Kol stuffed a muffin into his mouth as he watched the witch plate the rest of them neatly.

"Is it good?" She asked Kol, waiting as he swallowed his bite.

"The best. No one's ever made me baked goods before you." A small smile covered his lips. Solène placed a hand on his cheek, Kol leaned into it, and placed a chaste kiss on the other.

"I'll bake you lots of treats then. So many it'll give you a stomach ache."

"I can't get a stomach ache, darling," he mused, smile growing bigger.

"All I'm hearing is a challenge, Kol Mikaelson, and I will succeed." The youngest Mikaelson boy wanted to swoop her up and kiss her right then and there. Before he could move an inch, Sol was already walking away the plate.

How she managed to make him feel so much after not letting himself feel nearly anything for centuries astounded him. He had no idea the soulmate bond would be so strong, nor so pleasant. When he'd found out about them existing, he wasn't too keen about having a human around who would only slow him down. He was still parading around leaving piles of bodies before moving on.

Now with Sol, beautiful Sol, who knows everything about them, he feels so many things. He feels understood, not judged, and loved. Before they had even met, she knew all of their secrets, things they were ashamed of, but she'd never said a word against them. Neither had she used those words against them in any argument. They still had yet to have their first argument, and he didn't even want it to happen.

He would never admit it, but he just wanted her to hold him. Kol wanted to rest his head on her chest and simply listen to her heart beat for as long as she'd allow. He wanted to hear sweet nothings of how he was loved by her, that he was enough for her-- along with his brothers of course. It was his belief that she'd come to love them all equally, but there was always a piece of his mind nagging him that his other brothers would always be loved more than him; that he would never be apart of the 'Forever and Always' Klaus, Elijah and Rebekah shared. Being beside Sol made all of those thoughts fade away, and he wondered if one day they'd completely disappear.

Smelling the scent of their soulmates muffins, the other brother's sat up in their seats and eagerly waited for the plate to be set down. Rebekah also pushed herself forwards into her seat, ready to snatch up a muffin. The citrus muffins she'd eaten before were delightful, and the cookies were perfect. She would not be missing out on anything Sol decides to bake.

Setting the plate on the table she quickly warns, "One at a time, understood?" She nearly laughs when all the reaching arms pause before the plate at her words before continuing to move forwards at a slower pace. "Make sure everyone gets at least one." She reminded as she grabbed one for herself. A sigh escaped her lips. It was probably a good idea to start doubling her recipes.

Feeling a hand on her waist, she look down to see Elijah looking up at her. "Thank you for the muffins, my dear." His hand lightly tugged on her hip, asking her to sit with him. She quickly obliged, sitting across his thighs, ankles crossed.

"It's no problem, Elijah. I love sharing the sweets I make." With that, everyone enjoyed their muffins, the conversations staying light as they all let Kai process all the new information.
