She eyed the visibly nervous teacher, her heart racing excitement. This life she was living, it was amazing. She took a moment to relish in her new life, her new soulmates, new friend, new -hopefully- allies, new everything. This is where she's meant to be; not her previous life where she only suffered. No, here with the Mikaelsons was her place.
The Mikaelson's called out to her, seeing her eyes turn misty paired with a wide smile on her face. What had she been thinking? Solène hummed as she turned to them, her family. "What's wrong, my dear?" Finn spoke anxiously, reaching out to hold his soulmates hand.
Squeezing his hand, she continued to smile. "Nothing is wrong, my sweet Finn. Everything is just right, as it should be." Her words were vague, but clear enough that the Mikaelsons could pick up on her sentiments. Placing a soft kiss on her knuckles, he set their hands on the table. Kol pulled a chair over to the other side of Solène, displeased with Finn taking all the physical affection.
Catching onto the reason behind Kol's glare, she rested her wrist on Kol's shoulder, leaving her fingers to run through his hair. Seeing him satisfied with the contact, Sol turned back to Alaric who clearly felt awkward witnessing all the affection happening. It was still sinking in that Solène was with all the Mikaelsons, although he doesn't know the whole story behind soulmates. He'd made a mental note to ask Stefan for the whole story later on.
"Well, Alaric, what will you do to earn points?" Her tone nearly teasing. She had nothing to ask from this man. The only thing to ask of him was to do nothing against herself, her soulmates and her best friend.
"You have any vampires you want dead?" He laughed awkwardly, but Solène took a moment to think about his question. Was their someone she wanted dead? If she had the option, she may have gotten rid of Damon, not that she could ask Alaric to do that. They were kind of friends.
Coming up short, she turned to her family, silently asking is they had anyone in mind. When all their heads shook, she turned back to Alaric. "Sorry, none." She assumed all the vampires they wanted dead were already that- dead.
Clearing his throat, he looked off to the side, desperately trying to think of somethinghe could offer. "Could I promise not to knowingly harm you? You and your uh- soulmates?"
"And Rebekah?" She asked pointedly, ignoring the angry look Damon was sending Alaric at his promise.
"Yes, of course."
A smile pulled her lips up. "That promise is worth three points, Alaric. Break it, and I break three limbs." She promised in return. The shock from the Scooby gang was what she was aiming for here. Showing them that not harming her or the Mikaelsons was a good thing, being on their side meant they could have information they wouldn't normally obtain. They would have the opportunity to prevent events they may not like.
Nodding to the terms, Alaric pondered his first question. "Do I ever, you know, turn?"
"Do you become a vampire? If things go unchanged, yes, you would. You would actually be a special vampire all on your own." Her tone became playful, pulling attention to her from all her soulmates. Alaric Saltzman, the vampire hunter, would become a special kind of vampire?
"Can I ask what kind? Or would that be a point?" He rubbed his stubbled chin.
She hummed, pleased he was playing the game so well. "I'll tell you for free." The teens, Stefan and Damon paused for a moment. He was getting free information from this game? What happened to the rules of the game she created and seemed to stick to? "Esther turned you into an enhanced Original. "You should be careful about dying, Alaric. That ring will slowly drive you mad each time you come back. Of course it doesn't help that Esther manipulated your mind each time you went to the Other Side. Now, as to why you were so 'enhanced,' Esther didn't attach your life to the white oak tree like she did her children. Your lifeline was something else. Something so preciousno one would dare touch it."
She left the hint to stew, wondering if she should give a point to whoever guessed it right. Seeing Rebekah's irate expression, she figured it out. "Elena," Damon nearly growled out.
Gasping, she held back a laugh, "That's a point for Damon Salvatore!" She announced it like a game show host to tease Damon for inadvertently participating in her game. Alaric's eyes widened, suddenly overjoyed he'd decided to play the witch's game. They could find a way to avoid it happening now that they knew about it.
She had to ignore her angry Mikaelsons temporarily since she still owed Alaric two answers. "Why would mother create him? Another vampire, when she hates her own children so much?" Kol was seething beside her. Attempting to soothe him, she ran her thumb over the shell of his ear, squeezing Finn's hand again. She knew how much Finn had loved their mother, and how Esther had manipulated him when she rose from the dead to kill all of her children.
"He was made to kill you all, but we're not going to let that happen. You're not going to die, Kol." Her watery eyes held her sadness along side her determination. Kol started to wonder, had he been one of the ones who died? Who would have died had Solène not shown up? His heart wrenched at the thought of not meeting her, dying without ever knowing her.
Anguish flash across his face, nearly imperceptible, but Solène was still looking at him. There was no way she could miss it. She moved her hand from his head to his hand, lacing their fingers together. It was decided that she'd give him a big hug once this was all over.
Blinking the away the tears, she looked back at Alaric was was playing with his watch. "Two points left, Alaric, how will you use them?" She was back to normal in an instant, almost like it never happened. Dangerous was definitely a word that could be used to describe her, Alaric confirmed with himself.
"Those children you mentioned..." he trailed off, unsure exactly what he wanted to ask about them. "Are they supernatural? Do you know?"
"Your children were human, from what I saw, witches, actually." She kept this information more vague. If he started getting ideas about where the kids came from, who the mother might be, it could be troublesome if he truly wants those kids in the future. His search for them may actually precent them from being born. It's best he let's it happen naturally.
"Will you use your last point?" Her head tilted. She wasn't sure if there was anything else notable to tell him about his future. She'd told him the biggest highlights, sans his near-wife's death during their wedding, but that may not happen depending on how Kai is when he gets out. Jo isn't 22 anymore, so the Merge wouldn't work, she imagined. The show was very unspecific when it came to details about the Merge and the curse behind it. The younger twins aren't 22 either, and won't be for a few more years, there is nothing Kai could do except kill his family. That would be a problem to worry about later.
"Am I allowed to save my last point?" He asked, curiously. There wasn't anything else he wanted to know at the moment, and hoped it could be turned in later.
"Sure, I have no problem with that." She smiled at the man before turning to Damon. "Would you like to use your point?"
He scoffed, shaking his head. "If you don't asked a question I'll tell you anything I choose." She warns, almost tauntingly so.
"Like you'd tell me the truth, you clearly don't like me." He took in the rest of the bourbon, Nik's bottle nearly empty because of him.
"You have a happy ending, Damon. Only, it cost you the life of someone close to you." She decided to tell him the truth, very pleased she'd watched the ending of the show. She did cry a little at the younger Salvatore's death, but now the information could torture Damon. He'd always wonder if she was telling the truth or not, and if she was, who did he lose?
