Work, thankfully, ended without a hitch. The boys did continue to eye her for the rest of her shift, but they didn't say anything. She could only hope that meant they would be honoring their side of the deal to leave the other side alone. It'd be a lie to say she wasn't curious if Bonnie had located her mother, but she wasn't in a position to ask. She'd have to live without the knowledge for now. It felt a little strange to not know something, she noted, but it was kind of nice also.
Walking out of the Grill, she found Nik standing next to her car. "You came back," she smiled her soulmate.
"Yes, I come bearing an invitation to come back to our place," he smirked mischievously at the woman.
Mirroring his smirk, she asked, "Should I even bother packing a bag?"
"We've got everything you'll need, my love."
"Well, then," she gestured to her car, "Let's get going shall we?" The two climbed into her car, Solène thinking about how she thought distance would be good for them. How quickly she had let that go in favor of being with them more.
It wasn't a long drive to the Mikaelson Mansion, where she found a nice spread of food on the table.
"Welcome home, darling," Kol kissed her cheek as he led her over to the chair she occupied only yesterday. Elijah and Niklaus sat in the chairs beside her this time, Kol and Finn next to them. Rebekah still seemed to be upstairs in her room.
She shared dinner with her soulmates, happily so, not wanting their preparations go to waste. Her mind kept going back to Rebekah, however. The blond was hurting, and Sol had yet to check on her.
"Go on," Elijah spoke softly once her plate was finished. Sol furrowed her brows for a moment, not understanding what he meant. "She's probably waiting for you." He explained, which was all Sol needed before dashing up the steps once Elijah explained where her room was.
Standing in front of Rebekah's room, she slowly cracked open the door; the door was surprisingly unlocked. Perhaps she really was waiting for Sol. The prospect made her heart jump in happiness. Knocking and she opened the door, she called out, "Bekah, can I come in?"
The blond continue to silently lay on her bed, and didn't push Sol out as she stepped into the room. Closing the door behind her for privacy, Solène climbed onto Rebekah's bed, the blond quickly responded by laying her head in her friend's lap.
Sol quickly reciprocated by running her fingers through the blond's hair. "I don't know how much you're hurting, Beks. I wish I could understand how much it affects you. I know you've always wanted your own family. If that's what you really want, I'll figure out the spell that can move a fetus in your womb. We can find someone who wants an abortion, and make them forget they were pregnant."
The witch would do anything to help her friend feel better. She and Rebekah would be together for a long time, given the circumstances, and Sol wanted nothing more than to be close friends with the Mikaelson.
"It wouldn't be the same as having my own child." Her voice was soft, barely audible.
Sol hummed, looking down at Rebekah for a moment before she spoke. "I'm not sure. I think after carrying the baby for months and pushing them out of your body, you'd forget everything else and they would just be your baby. Don't you think so? Should I pop a baby out for you instead?" A smile pulled at her lips at her small joke, hoping it wold lighten Rebekah's disappointment.
"Would you really do that for me?" Rebekah sat up to look at Solène. Her eyes looked hopeful, joy bubbling in Sol's stomach.
"Steal a fetus, or pop one out myself for you?" The witch giggled and Rebekah scoffed before laughing, too.
"I think my brother's may be a bad influence on you," she admitted playfully.
"Trust me, this is all me," Sol shrugged, a playful smile on her lips. "I'd do anything for you, Bekah. You mean as much to me as your brothers do. In a different way of course, since we're not soulmates." She huffed. "Not that I'd be opposed," she whispered conspiratorially. "But losing you would be like losing one of them. It would tear me to pieces. I would feel as if I was the one who lost a piece of their soul."
She was quickly pulled into a hug by Rebekah, who wanted to hide the few tears about to escape her eyes. "Shall we have a girls night? Niklaus invited me over, but you need company more right now. Shall we watch trashy television, eat ice cream, and gossip?"
The idea brightened up the vampire quickly. She wiped her face and said she'd get ready before heading downstairs. Wanting to do that same, Sol nodded, making her way to Rebekah's door. Before she could pull it open, the older woman hastily spoke. "Thank you, Sol."
"Anything for you," she winked before finally exiting the room, leaving behind a chuckling Rebekah.
At the bottom of she steps, she would her soulmates standing around, waiting her her. "Bekah and I are having a girls night tonight. I think she'll be okay soon," a soft smile pulled up the corners of her lips. "I assume one of these many rooms are mine?" Her thumb jutted behind her where all the rooms sat.
"Rebekah insisted you take the one at the end of the hall, next to her room," Elijah noted, remembering how the lot of them fought over who had their room closest to their soulmate. Eventually, their sister had ended the argument, saying she would take the one at the end of the hall, so no one could move in next to her as Rebekah already occupied that spot.
"Okay, I'm going to go get ready then. I'll see you all in the morning?" Filing up the steps, the boys said their goodnights, everyone giving her a head kiss, too; all of which she returned. She gave Kol a sneaky second one because he was so grumpy about girls night.
After she was showered and in pajamas, she met with Rebekah in the living area. She'd already pulled all the ice cream out of the freezer, unsure which flavor Solène enjoyed. Wordlessly, she snatched up the cookie dough ice cream, tossed the lid onto the coffee table, and flopped onto the couch. She smiled at at Rebekah, asking her to join her. Picking up the cookies 'n' cream, the blond repeated the same process.
They found some reality television show they'd never seen before and threw themselves into the drama happening on screen.
"That's totally fucked up! She slept with her sister's ex!" Sol shouted at the screen with her mouth full of ice cream.
"They're in love," Rebekah defended.
"Oh please, she just wanted some dick. They were most certainly not in love." The witch scoffed while rolling her eyes.
"How can you tell?" Rebekah genuinely asked, catching a shuffling from upstairs with her enhanced hearing.
"If they truly were in love, they would've spoken the to sister first, not just suddenly hook up. You don't sneak around with someone you're in love with. You want to show them off to the world, rub it in other people's faces that they're your person and not someone else's."
"Kind of like you did to Carter?" A smirk pulled on her lips.
"Exactly!" Solène agreed with her example without much thought. "Wait," she lowered the spoon she had pointed at the blond. "That's so different! I had just met three of your brother's the evening before! Don't do that to me!" She whine, pushing the spoon back into the ice cream.
Rebekah let out a full belly laugh at her friends antics. Pleased that she was getting on well with all her brothers, yet still keeping a level head. The blond was a little jealous she couldn't do the same when it came to love.
