Rebekah seemed, rightfully, heartbroken at the news. "Nik? Nik gets to have children while we're all stuck like this without families of our own? How is that fair? Just because he was a wolf before we were cursed by our mother?" Solène shook her slightly at Niklaus, pleading with him to stay silent. Rebekah needed to get it all out, she deserves that much. She could see her best friends eyes become glassy.
No one could say a word, letting Rebekah's hurt linger in the air. She knew she had to take control of the conversation, so she took a deep breath. "Thank you for being honest, Rebekah. I'm so sorry that this hurts you, and I would do anything she change it for you. I swear that to you; if there was a way for you to have kids, I'd make it happen."
Although she appreciated the sentiment, the blond was beyond hurt at the moment; stalking back off to her room once more, Rebekah found herself unable to look at her brother right now.
Jumping at the door slamming, she took another deep breath. "Does anybody else have anything they'd like to say about it?"
"Yes," Elijah crossed one leg over the other. "I assume you know this to be true because he had a child, yes? In that television program you said we're from." The second eldest found himself conflicted. He wasn't quite sure how he felt about this information. Nik could, had, a child. Something none of them every imagined possible for themselves for over a millennium. Now, it was a possibility for him to get his- their soulmate pregnant.
"He did, yes. Nik," the words got caught in her throat. Suddenly, the thought of someone being pregnant with his baby hurt her. "Um," she cleared her throat. "A werewolf fell pregnant with his child. It was discovered then that Niklaus could have children."
"And they were sure it was his?" Kol asked, not truly doubting magics ability, but more so hurt at the thought his soulmate could have his brother's child, but not his own. He had no doubt's about how powerful magic was, but sometimes he wished it would actually work in his favor.
Finn, contrasting from Kol, would relish in his soulmate having a child. A little version of his soulmate pleased him immensely. Even if it was biologically Nik's, it would be their child, everyones child. They would all be parents, and love them like it was their own. Finn didn't see much of a problem with Nik being the only brother to biologically father the child. They would all still be one happy family.
"Yes, one hundred percent. Anything else?"
"I can really have children?" He sounded breathless, soaking in this new revelation. Niklaus could have a child, he could get his soulmate pregnant with his child.
"Yes, Nik, you can have kids." She whispered softly in return, gripping his hand tightly. Silence sat over the soulmates for a few beats so she figured no one else had anything to say. "If that's all, I believe we all could use some rest after today, and time to process all this new information. If me dropping all this information on you is something you don't want, please let me know. I don't want any of you to think I'm hiding anything. That's the last thing I want."
Next thing she knew, she was in the center of a group hug, surrounded by vampires. "We know if you keep something to yourself, it's something you strongly believe we don't need to know." Elijah reasoned.
"Why would I not trust you, you were made for me," Kol spoke cheekily, placing a kiss on her temple. She rolled her eyes with a laugh at Kol's words, but her heart still felt fuzzy all the same.
"You could never make us distrust you, my love" Nik's voice flowed into her ear.
"We're stuck with one another until the end of eternity." Finn spoke softly. "Nothing can truly spoil our time together."
Head filled with sweet nothings from her soulmates, Solène headed back to her apartment for the night. Truthfully, she didn't really want to leave the mansion, but she knew it would be best. Distance makes the heart grow fonder, right? If she was clinging to her soulmates, they would never be able to acquire the items she asked for.
It was important to her to free Kai from his Prison World. She would definitely try to talk him out of murdering his siblings, for Alaric's children's sakes, but in the end, Kai would have the final decision. Their would be no way to force him to not do so, not that she'd want to in the first place. She simply hoped that maybe she could reason with him a little, a small bargain perhaps.
After a long, hot shower, she collapsed into bed. Her head was hurting from all the information she shared today. The game was fun, but she didn't really want to play it again. Not in that fashion anyway. Just as she was falling asleep, she remembered she had work tomorrow. She groaned, but realized she wouldn't have to walk since she now owned a car. Sol managed to fall asleep with a smile on her face.
Sol was manning the bar once again today. It was slow, since it was still pretty early in the day, but it gave her time to do some deeper cleaning behind the bar. While she was cleaning, she could feel Matt and Jeremy's eyes on her. Sighing, she knew the whole Scooby gang was informed of yesterday's events. Simply thinking about it threatened another headache. Pinching the bridge of her nose, she took a deep breath.
"Rough day?" An accented voice spoke. She quickly turned to look at the source of the voice, finding Niklaus sitting down next to Finn. Her eyes ogled Finn. He was wearing new clothes; clothes he'd probably picked out himself. He wasn't stuck sharing with his brother's any longer, but he'd also cut his hair shorter. Solène thought he looked amazing with the long hair, but this shorter hair, he looked hot. It was still a little long, deciding to keep some length to it all around, but he'd styled it in such a way that made it a hundred times more attractive.
"Finn!" She exclaimed with a smile, rushing around the bar to properly approach him. Finn quickly spun on the bar stool, Sol stopping between his knees. She grabbed his face in her hands and looked at him more closely. "You look so good!" Her eyes admired the button down and khaki pants that hugged his body nicely. He'd felt his body grow warm underneath her gaze.
"Niklaus took me shopping, I figured long hair isn't really 'in' for men anymore." He shrugged, eyes looking off to the side.
"Finn, you can look however you please. You'll still look incredibly hot either way." She smiled at the man.
"Hot?" Finn furrowed his brows. Why did people call each other hot?
"She means you look very attractive, brother. It's high praise these days." Niklaus clapped Finn on his shoulder.
"Sol, why're those boys watching you so much?" Finn whispered to his soulmate, eyes tracing back over to where Matt and Jeremy were clearing away a table and placing down plates of food.
"Don't mind them, sweets. They're just boys. Friends to the guests yesterday. What're you all up to today?" Her hands slipped down to Finn's shoulders as she looked at Niklaus.
"I was put on Finn duty. Teaching him the ways of the current time, Rebekah has decided to continue sulking in her room, and Elijah and Kol are out finding those items you asked for." She got giddy at the thought of receiving her items. Had she mentioned to Kol that it was most likely in the hands of Kai's father Joshua? She saw her manager eyeing her from the back. Sighing, she asked Klaus to text Kol for her. Kissing her boys on their cheeks, she rounded the bar to continue her work.
Working didn't stop her from speaking to them when she could. Klaus was drinking more bourbon, but Finn only asked for water. She asked how Rebekah seemed, outside of isolating herself; if any of them had managed to talk to her at all, but it resulted in nothing. Rebekah locked herself up tight and wasn't talking to anyone. Solène decided to give the woman some more time to really process everything before she tried to talk to her. She could only imagine how much it hurt to hear that Nik was able to achieve a dream she'd held for over a thousand years.
Sol wished that there was something she could do for her.
