Sol looked down at the woman's corpse and huffed. "Let's get out of here and lock the door. We'll have to deal with her later. Can't exactly carry her in front of all the guests." Hands on her hips, she turned to her family. "Let's finish this, shall we?"
Nodding, everyone left the room. Niklaus made sure it was locked once everyone was in the hall. Damon approached the group, a breath leaving his lips. "I'll show you where the old witch is set up," the young vampire tilted his head behind him before noticing the blood on Finn's white dress shirt. "Were you having fun before I showed up?"
"Not now, Damon," Sol rolled her eyes, nudging his shoulders to get him moving. Walking down the hall, Sol kicked off her heels; the two shoes hitting the wall. Making a mental note to come back for them, she couldn't stop feeling like she was approaching the final boss. Once this was over, it was just her and her family. No big bad enemies coming for her... save for Joshua Parker, but he was truly no big threat to them. After tonight, all her worries could disappear.
Suddenly, Damon stopped. He jutted his chin towards the door at the end of the hall. "They're in there. Knock two times, then another two after a beat. Keep the casualties to a minimum, okay? I'd never hear the end of it."
The Mikaelson walked straight to the door, but Sol paused to look up at the older Salvatore. "I want to show you something when the night is done... as a thank you." The words almost felt bitter coming off her tongue for Damon. Seeing her drastic reaction to the words, he leaned over with a smirk.
"Oh? Gonna show me something interesting?" Clearly trying to insinuate something gross, Sol instantly regretted her words.
"Yes, the end of a stake. Maybe it'll meet your heart," she bit out before marching to the door where everyone was waiting for her.
"Just keep your promises, witchy." Damon's tone was more serious for once. The siphon turned around with a wicked smirk on her lips.
"If I feel like it," she shrugged. "Take care of Kol, okay? Or at least make sure no one finds him." It suddenly occurred to her they didn't lock the room Kol's body was lying in.
"Aye aye, captain." Damon twirled a hand in the air as his eyes rolled, turning to walk off.
The soulmates all looked at one another, making sure everyone was ready. With nods of reassurance, Niklaus knocked on the door as Damon explained. No reason to break a good lock, Sol noted.
"Damon, did you," a gasped escaped the teen's lips. They all pushed their way into the room, closing the door shut behind them. "How did you find us?"
"Some people know how to keep their end of a deal, Elena. Now, beat it. Take Bonnie with you." Sol's eyes fell upon the witch tensed up next to Esther. She couldn't blame the girl, even her muscles were threatening to tense in the woman's presence. The family stared down Esther as the teens made their way out of the room, no word spoken from Esther.
"Which of you will be killing me this time?" The mother asked the siblings. "Perhaps Niklaus? You've done it before. Surely, you could do it again." Smoothly, she stood from her seat behind the table and rounded it to stand before her children. "Why can none of you understand I'm trying to right my mistakes? You all should've died a millennium ago. I should've never made you into monsters."
"Don't you dare call them that. They are your children! They are my family, and they are certainly not monsters." Sol stepped forwards, pulling Esther's attention to her. "Speak of my family that way again and you'll lose your tongue."
The older woman's eyes narrowed at the siphon. "I'm much older and more powerful than you, child. You can do no harm to me."
Quickly, she was pulled to the side as Kai blew powder into Esther's face. Before she could realize what she was inhaling, it was too late. Adrenaline shot through her veins as she snatched up one of Esther's arms, Kai grabbing the other. The two began to siphon the woman's magic as fast as they could. Kai used an immobilization spell to stop Esther from thrashing out of their grip.
