When Niklaus said they would all be reunited soon, she had no idea he meant as soon as they got back into town. She didn't even have the chance to take a shower before Klaus drove them to the old witch house, where he'd been storing his siblings. Her eyes scanned over all the coffins, counting the spare covered in chains. It was Esther's coffin. Moving her gaze back to Klaus, who was pushing open the lid to a coffin, she cleared her throat a little. He looked back at her, confused.

"Do you mind..." her voice trailed off as she scanned the coffins once more, hoping he would understand.

"Please, by all means." He waved his arm once to gesture at the remaining coffins. Her eyes lit up slightly, excited about waking up her favorite characters. Solène moved hastily towards to coffins that looked the least touched, sans Ether's. Opening the cleanest coffin, she looked down at a grey and veiny Finn. Her heart clenched, remembering Finn's admission of becoming conscious over the centuries, hearing everything that happened around him; his siblings being woken up as he was left stuck in his coffin.

Daring a gaze back at Niklaus who was busy with another coffin, she leaned down and softly whispered, "You've slept enough. It's time to wake." Praying Niklaus didn't hear her words, she'd be terribly embarrassed, she gripped the dagger in Finn's heart with both hands. It washed over her, the realization that she was — in a way — bringing him back to life. It was a nice contrast from her previous life.

A smile grew on her lips at the thought as she pulled the dagger, which would soon release Finn from his conscious sleep. She moved onto the final coffin, Niklaus still looking down at his sister. The witch hesitated, thinking he was debating leaving her in the coffin, but moved onto Kol's coffin before the hybrid could change his mind about everything.

This time, she swiftly pulled the dagger out. None of the other siblings had been down long enough to become conscious, so she didn't worry too much about saying warm words for Kol.

Turning back to Klaus, she found him with two daggers in his hand. She smiled once more, happy he'd decided to wake up Rebekah as well. Although, had he not, she would have done it herself and begged forgiveness later. Handing over the two daggers to the hybrid, she took a seat on the elevated doorway, resting her elbows on her knees. They had time before everyone woke, so she wanted to be comfortable if they weren't going anywhere.

"Little Witch," Niklaus started, dropping the daggers in his inner jacket pocket. She met his eyes, confused at the sudden nickname. It was true, she supposed, but she had no idea how to control it. There was someone she could find to help her out though... That would be a discussion for later. She wasn't really in a position to ask Niklaus Mikaelson for serious favors.

"Shall I tell you a story?" Her brows knit together at his words. He wanted to tell her a story? Was he already bored waiting for his siblings to wake?

"What kind of story?" She asked, vaguely aware of the fact Finn could hear them speaking.

"One that your television program got wrong." He hummed. "Forgot to add, more like." Solène was fully intrigued now. Something about the world the show didn't tell her about? She was eager to learn about it, which was visible by the way her eyes lit up.

Klaus nearly smiled, covering it with his usual smirk instead. "When my mother made us what we are today, she broke our souls. A piece of our souls left us when we became vampires. I've been told by several witches that souls are pure energy, and therefore cannot be destroyed. Thus, they merely broke. I demanded to know what had happened with my soul, but they couldn't tell me where it was. There's no magic to locate souls. However, they informed me that I would know when I found it. The pieces of my soul would call out to each other, wishing to come together again."

"Who would end up with your soul? Why would it go to that person?" She asked, not understanding how the souls movement worked.

"I asked the witches similar questions. They said my soul would seek out the most compatible one; a soul with a similar frequency. They said that the person with the piece of my soul would be my soulmate. Come to find out over the centuries, it was like this for every vampire. When a person becomes a vampire, their soul also breaks and searches for their 'soul companion,' another term the witches used."

"So, vampires have soulmates?" The woman found herself in awe at the new information, and then a memory popped into her mind. "Is that why you asked if I believed in them?"

"You caught on quick, Little Witch. Yes, that's why I asked. Because you, my love, are carrying a piece of my soul."

Her breath caught in her throat at his words. Had that been why she felt so drawn to him? Although, she wondered if carrying a piece of his soul also played a part in her emotions towards him. Surely they didn't, right? Klaus said souls were energy, so she's just carrying around a little extra energy. No way that the souls inside of her could affect her emotions. Souls were merely a life-force, a battery, it couldn't affect her feelings.

"Is that why..." she caught herself. What if humans didn't feel anything from the soul pieces calling out to one another and it was just her? It pleased her that they, logically, shouldn't affect her feelings, but what if this pull wasn't them and she embarrassed herself in front of the scariest man alive? Who she didn't find all that scary, to be honest... was that also his soul inside of her?

"I've come to learn that while souls call out to one another, they do draw you to the one person you'd get on best with. Hence the souls being the most compatible. They can't affect your emotions, however. They merely pull the two people to the same location. It's purely physical for the souls." His tone more teasing as if he was trying to imply something dirtier than he needed to. Pleased with her flushed cheeks, he continued speaking. "Humans don't feel the pull as strongly as we, vampires, do. We're searching for the other piece of our soul; humans are merely the carriers."

"What does that mean for the us human carriers then? What happens if we die?" It was a great question on Solène's part. If the vampires soul fragments simply found the most compatible, would it have to find the next best after the first one died?

"I'm not sure. I've only met vampires who have either turned their soulmate, or have yet to find them. It's not uncommon for soulmates to end up fancying one another," a cocky smirk on his lips. Before Solène could spit out a retort, that would inevitably be a lie about how she would never get with him, another voice spoke first.

"Who is this?"
