"what the fuck happened, shota?"demi-humans are a new form of life first discovered in the 1990s. these life forms do not die (if they do, they come back to life). so far, 76 demi humans have been found around the world. research is being conducted on them.
the mechanism of their immortality has yet to be revealed.
the first demi-human was discovered on a battlefield in nation x.
after it's existence was verified, a number of others were discovered. their existence upended the gamut of scientific theories and spread panic throughout the world.
however, research showed that demi-humans were "identical for humans but for being immortal." the panic subsided once it was learned that they pose no threat. demi-humans were then considered vital research subjects for the advancement of mankind, rather than undying monsters.
some demi-humans are reputed to have been captured and sold to governments and the criminal underworld. these activities are known as "demi-human hunts" after the witch hunts of the middle ages.
aizawa sighed curtly, propping his head up on his hand as he read the documents on the table. how long had the safety commission been hiding something like this? it was almost impossible to wrap his head around. this was information from a world disconnected from their own. it barely made any sense to him, hell, even nezu didn't consider the possibility. which, shouldn't even be possible given his quirk.
there were a lot of reasons he could think that they chose to keep such a thing under wraps, what he couldn't put his finger on was the how and the why. there was no reason to meddle in otherworldly affairs.
what really set him off about all of this, though. was the dates of the papers.

this information had come from your world, but years ahead of your time. so, how exactly did the hero commission get their hands on it if it hadn't appeared alongside you? the more they learned, the more questions he had. nothing was getting remotely clearer. on top of that, even if he read every paper on the table nothing would make him any less angry than he was. each paper he did read was crumpled when he put it back down, because his fists clenched so tightly around them he shook with every movement.
there was no reason, no reason you were still inside that hellscape with those disgusting people. and there was no reason he was expected to keep it a secret either. besides, what made them think you wouldn't assume? it's not like they were discreet about your situation over the intercom during the experiments.
he clutched the edge of the table, gritting his teeth. even thinking about those videos made his blood feel hot in his skin. to think this was a commission he works for.
not exactly, since it was an experimental branch that was holding the experiments. still, he was involved nonetheless whether he was ignorant to the issue or not. even his ignorance didn't abstain him from guilt. regardless of whether or not he knew, this never would have happened if he reached out and asked you to stay.
