"where did you go, yumi?"apparently, schooling at u.a. is no different than regular schools. you wouldn't know, since you never went, but luckily for you kaminari was good at saying everything in his head aloud without realizing he was helping guide you by doing so. so, you weren't too surprised when you got to school the next day and things seemed a bit mundane. hizashi stands at the front of the class with a stick that he's gesturing to the screen with. the "screen" actually looked a lot like a chalkboard, but from what you could tell it wasn't. in the morning, you would take regular school curriculum classes like english. luckily for you once more, you were actually fluent in english. well, semi-fluent. the patrol route you took with yoshida was one that was frequented by tourists, so it was important that you guys be a bit fluent in english as to not leave the english speaking humans in the dark of what your intentions were or what your job was.
"which of these english sentences is wrong?" although, just because you knew the answers doesn't mean you were all too keen on raising your hand to answer the questions. you left that to the nerdy students like iida and yaomomo, they were much more suited for answering questions like that than you. especially because you were spending the entire time in class thinking about your dream last night rather than paying attention to whatever hizashi had to say about a language you knew better than him, probably. maybe not, you were a street rat after all.
yumi hadn't spoken a word since last night, her presence completely absent all morning until a few minutes ago. anytime you tried to speak to her it either went unheard or ignored, and when you were desperate you even tried whispering to yourself thinking she'd reply if you spoke out loud. even if just to call you an idiot for even trying, but no. she didn't. radio silence.
yaoyorozu raises her hand and you take a glance at her while hizashi calls on her. "okay, yaoyorozu, come on!" she nods politely. "the relative pronoun is in the wrong place in number four." hizashi whoops excitedly. "that's correct!"
where did you go, yumi?lunch is apparently standard school stuff, too. at least, you think it is. you wouldn't know considering you hadn't ever had school lunch before, but this seemed a little upper-class for what you'd imagine kids eating in school. you stare down at the plate of rice and teriyaki chicken. the meal itself wasn't odd, but the fact that you had ordered exactly what you wanted and had it cooked for you was the weird part. the lunch room felt more like a restaurant than you imagined. you eyed the girls sitting together at a table, then your eyes fell on midoriya's table. he was with iida and ochako. there was no where you could sit without having to take part in conversation, and you weren't exactly feeling too talkative. when your eyes land on todoroki, he's already looking at you. sitting alone in a quiet corner. he gives you a nod and you approach, a small grateful smile on your face.
"thanks." you mumble, sitting down across from him. he nods in response, and you're able to enjoy a quiet lunch due to his quiet nature. you spend the entire time trying to get ahold of yumi, as well. another fruitless effort. you sigh, and todoroki gives you a look. you merely shake your head in response and he gives another nod. two anti-social's communicating is indeed a sight to see.
