18. Crib

Chapter 18

"Khun Sam, delivery for you."

I smiled. Im currently at home and waiting for this delivery since i woke up this morning. If you're looking for my wife, she's not here. Yuki, Kade and Jim kidnapped her some minutes ago for some pamper time which i actually planned for me to finish the nursery as a surprise for her.

I walked passed by the guestroom turned to Bunny's nursery room. Its still empty but now with medium-toned gray walls and candy pink curtains over the big window. A pink sofa on the other side. A gold sputnik-styled pendant light is hanging on the pink marbled ceiling. A connecting door to our room was installed for easy access. The room, even if a little bare looks elegant, regal, fit for a member of the royalty. Its Grandma approved.

Voices from downstairs made me move back to my initial agenda. I looked at some men coming upstairs with huge boxes in tow. I walked inside the nursery and and observed how boxes were pile up in minutes. Auntie Kwan came in too holding papers for the delivery.

"They need your signature Khun Sam."

"is this all the items i need?"

"Yes My Lady."

"3 of our men will stay to help you assemble some furnitures and the interior design team will be here in a while My Lady."

"I just need them for the changing tables and cabinets. Leave the crib to me. I want to assemble it personally." i said as i signed the delivery receipt.

"Would you like me to supervise them My Lady?"

"please do Aunty. I just need to finish some papers then i'll come back."

"As you wish Lady Sam."

I then went back to our room using the adjoining door we build so we can have an easy access to the nursery. It took me a couple of hours until i finished. I checked on my phone and saw updates from my wife. They were now getting their nails done. I sent her a message reminding her to eat lunch in time and also texted Jim to remind Mon.

"They were finished already Lady Sam. Its lunch time too, would you like me to prepare your food now?"

"Thanks Auntie, i'll be down in a while."

I rushed downstairs for lunch so i can start with the crib. Im excited for this already, i really want to do something for my daughter, not just to buy her things but something memorable for us too. So i insisted to assemble the crib myself. I even went to buy tools for this task.

"How was the room Auntie? I rushed here for lunch."

"Its so beautiful Lady Sam. Im sure Lady Mon will be very happy with it. And also Bunny."

"That's good. I want the best for my daughter Auntie. I was thinking if we should make a little playground there? I think Bunny and Megan will be happy to have their own. Ow we should baby proof the house first. No, i need to prepare her hospital bag first. I need to ask P'Fah for the complete list again so i can order those things as earlier as now. I need to order that baby fence too to protect Bunny from falling off the stairs. Ow i need to order her car seat too! There's so much more to do Auntie."

Then i heard her laugh. I looked at her and playfully glared at her since i know, by her laugh, that she is teasing me.

"Don't laugh at me." im pretty sure i pouted too.

"Im just so glad that you are happy now Lady Sam. I saw you growing up, i am there to witness the changes that happened to you but this is my favorite. The change from being that lost, scared and controlled child up to this excited, nervous but happy mother to be. It swells my heart with joy. You are like a daughter to me Lady Sam and to see you now, living the best things life can offer you gives me happiness and pride only a mother could feel. You, Lady Mon, Singha and in the next months, Bunny, you four will always be my family. And i will do everything to serve and protect this family until the end of my life."
