GAP: Our Happy Ever After

29. 1st Week

"Good morning Bunny." I looked at the crib to see my baby girl awake and is just busy blinking.  She's so cute doing that. I run my thumb to her plump cheeks and kissed her head before taking ber off her swaddle. She immediately stretched her arms and legs while i rub her tummy.  "I guess you sleep well last night Bun-bun."

I can hear the shower on so Sam's already preparing for the day.

I carried her to the nursery and put her in her dresser to get her nappies change. After disposing ber soiled nappy, i tickled her tummy and gave her kisses before putting back her onesie on.

She tried to stretch again and i saw her lips, slightly moving. I touched it and she opened her mouth.

" My baby is hungry, come here so Mami can give you breakfast." i took her out and we moved to the rocking chair infront of the big window. I opened the thick curtains and morning sunlight poured in. I sat down, put on the nursing pillow/support and held her to my chest. She's so eager to latch, she might be really hungry.

I rocked the chair and played some a taylor swift song while looking outside. We stayed there quiet  for some minutes before Sam came in, her glasses on and hair still wet but not dripping. She's on her normal house clothes too. An cotton white shirt and black jersey shorts.

"Good morning Mami. Is she awake?" Sam said approaching us with a hug.

"You smell so good. She just started breakfast. Good morning Dada." I answered her greeting with a pout which she immediately took as an invite for our morning kiss.

"I love you." She said after the kiss, she gave Bunny her morning kiss in the head too.

"I love you too." I said

Its been a week since we were home. A whole week of sleepless night i may say. Good thing Sam is not yet back to work and my parents are here to help too. Everything really changed after the baby is born. I need to be awake every 2 hours to feed her or else we will both suffer and i don't like that. Sam is a good help too, i will feed Bunny then she will be in charge of dancing her to sleep or changing her nappies. She's a pro for both. Hands down for her.

"What do you want for breakfast? Assuming Mae is not yet done preparing it." She asked while opening the curtains more.

"Banana pancakes. But anything will do actually. Hand me my water please Love. It's on our bedside table." I always get thirsty while nursing so we made sure i have my water tumbler with me always.  Sam took it for me and held it for it to sip. She would always help in anything she can.

Minutes later, Bunny finished her breakfast. Sam took our baby girl from me.

"Go do your thing, i'll burp her. I prepared your clothes for today." she said while gently tapping and rubbing Bunny's back.

I kissed her cheeks and left. I was about to enter our bathroom when i heard Sam chuckled. I smiled, Bunny burped already.

After preparing for the day, i went out to see them on our bed. Sam peppering our Bunny with kisses while the baby is just busy with her pacifier.

"You smells so good Bun-bun. Dada cant help it." Sam said continue to give our girl kisses

"All babies smells good Love. Remember Megan?"

"Yes but Bunny smells the best."

"Im sure she is." i just laughed at her.  "Ready to go down stairs? Im getting hungry."

She took Bunny back to her arms while i grabbed a couple of burp cloth and we left the room. When we arrived downstairs, Mae is preparing the breakfast in the kitchen with our aunties and Ran.
