"Mon!" Sam's eyes opened as she took deep breathes.

She looked around and found herself in her room. Black and gray colored sheets, candles everywhere and only her photo adorning the walls opposite her bed. Where are their wedding photos and Bunny's sonogram scans?

She stood up and saw an IV line connected to her arm. She took it off not minding the pain and the blood flowing out of it. She rushed to check their wardrobe, only gray and black clothes, where's the pink and colored ones? She went to the bathroom, a single robe hanging, a single toothbrush on its place, a set of her personal hygiene things, Mon's own things are not there, even the small potted plants Mon added is nowhere to be seen. Her hands and eyes starts to tremble. She rushed outside and looked down from the 2nd floor. Her house is back to its monochromatic state. Her heart beat starts to triple, her breathing rushed. What's going on she thought. Where's Mon? Where's her wife?

"SAM! You're awake!" her grandmother cried as she reached the living room

"Grandma where's Mon? And Bunny? Where's our Bunny? Where's my family?" she panicky inquired, biting her fingers while being restless.

"Who's Mon? And Bunny who are they? Come, you need to sit down first."

"No! I NEED MY WIFE!"

Her grandmother looked at Sam. Surprised by her youngest granddaughter's outburst more than the fact that she just asked her about a wife.

"Sam? You're not married yet. You don't have a wife." she explained

Sam's whole body froze. Fear, pain and longing enveloped her.

"No! no! no! , this is not happening!" she tried to think and she laughed

"You're pranking me right?" she tried to look around again while wiping her tears.

"Where's the camera? You're all busted, stop this already. Tee rak?. Come here now, you should not be exerting this much effort, you're giving birth anytime!"

No answer. Silence wrapped the room.

"Mami? Tee rak? Kornkamon Anuntrakul! Stop this! This is not funny anymore!" she said, higher than her usual tone, indicating her disapproval.

But nothing happened. No Mon or their friends appeared to end the prank. And realization hit her.

She rushed back upstairs and looked for her phone. Her tears dropping non-stop. She looked for Mon's number but there's no thing. She called Jim instead.

"Jim!" she cried. "J-jim. Tell me where's Mon. Jim i need her. I need them. Please tell me they exist. Please."

"S-sam?! you're awake!" Jim said crying on the other line

"Mon.... I need Mon. Jim.... I need her Jim. I need them." Sam said in agony

"Sam? Who's Mon?"

"MY WIFE! SHE'S MY WIFE!" Sam cried

Her Grandmother rushed to hug her she can't stop crying.

"MON!" she shouted and then collapsed.

I opened my eyes. White ceiling and the smell of disinfectants and alcohol welcomed her senses. All of her friends are there whispering/talking about something with her Grandma.
