Chapter 53 - Deals and Dates

"Lady Sam? Khun Kirk is here, should i let him in when he arrived My lady?"

Pri heard a sigh from the other line before it ended then an irritated Sam peaked from her office door.

"Tell him to go somewhere else Pri. I dont want to see him now or anytime soon. And never, ever let me hear him." Sam then closed the door leaving her secretary in awe.

As her boss' office closed, Kirk arrived with two cups of coffee and a box of cake she knew her boss liked. She acknowledged her boss' friend and gave him an awkward smile. "Good morning Khun Kirk."

"Hi Pri. Good morning. Here's a cup of coffee and a slice of carrot cake for you. Is Sam available now?" Kirk asked while giving Pri the snacks he brought.

"Ahm.... About that, Khun Kirk, L-lady Sam just informed me of the cancelation of your meeting today. She's in the middle of an important meeting.... Yes.... A meeting a-and we dont know when will it ends." Pri uttered just to lighten the mood.

Kirk just stared at the poor woman in front of her. He then took a seat. "You're a good employee Pri and i know you are the best secretary Sam could have. You do exemplary things for Sam and the company. But you have one weekness, you cant lie, even a white one." Kirk said and sipped his coffee.

Pri's lips pursed and her eyes shut in embarrassment. She knows the fact that she's a very transparent person, and thats what she is trying to change for years that she's working with Sam but she's still not doing well with it.

"Tell me Pri, is your boss being stubborn and hard headed again? You know you can always tell us, even Mon. Im sure she can help you dealing with Sam's dark side."

The secretary's eyes widen in shock with his choice of words... "Da-dark S-side?"

"Ow Pri, i know that almost all of us here knew Sam when she's stressed and troubled. She can be a devil incarnate sometimes. We once saw it years before right? When there's a big problem with the finance dept back then? Its old news already Pri and most us, her friends and especially Mon can easily deal with this so if you need help in dealing with this side of Sam, we can always help. But first things first, is there a problem here?" Kirk asked as he looked around. The place is quiet, very far from a problematic workplace he is expecting to see.

"There's some usual ones Khun Kirk. Normal workplace issues. Its just Lady Sam is a bit irritated with some things nowadays. So were a bit walking in the tip of the iceberg these days. I think she's just a bit stressed with work really, she's been doing double loads of work since Lady Neung took her maternity leave, it might be getting the toll in her already. I think she really needs to rest."

Kirk sighed and looked at Sam's door. "We'll try to talk to her about the rest. Im sure she will listen to us, to Mon. She can never say no to her wife after all. But first things first, she relaly dont want to see me, am i right?" Pri nodded her head earning a chuckle from Kirk. "The audacity of that woman really. Did she realized that she is the one who asked me to come here? That woman really!"

"I apologize Khun Kirk but did you do something to anger or irritate her? She's a bit mad when she told me not to let you in as well as not to let her hear your voice."

Kirk juat laughed at what Pri said. "Nothing really. Im just asking her some help with things and i told her im coming here to talk to her personally. I might have pushed the wrong button today to have her react that way. I'll let her do her things now, here's her coffee and cake, please give it to her."
