22. Quick Getaway

Chapter 22

Sam's POV

"For the love of all the gods and goddesses and deities, Its 3 AM!" I said trying to hold myself to shout and curse them.

"Good morning Sam." Jim greeted me with a smile

"What's good in the morning? Why are you all here?" i asked and they all looked at me while i walk down the stairs.

"Coz we want to?" Kade replied and wrong answer, very wrong

"You want? Are you all crazy? It's a saturday and its mine and Mon's day and i repeat it's 3 in the morning! "

I woke up this early when i heard soft knocks on our door. Good thing Mon is a heavy sleeper nowadays. So i went out and Auntie Len said we have visitors. And im not surprised to see our 7 friends and my sister lounging comfortably in my living room for whatever reason i don't want to even know, as early as 3 am!

"But we want to spend time with you." Kade said trying to pacify me

"But i don't!" its our day and i will spend it just with my wife. Mon and i and no one else.

"Taw lek, you cant just say that. They are your friend."

"And you are my sister but i don't care." i said and glared at her.

"Can you please see reason here Sam? We -" Jim started but i ended it by holding my hand up

"You should listen to me. Today is Saturday and you all know i only spend it with my wife. We talked about this years before and i just repeated it. Its our day and there's no you! If you want to spend time with us, you wait for family day and it is tomorrow. Understand? The gate is that way, its open and ready for you to leave." i said while pointing outside

They all looks sad and i just sighed.

" I only have Mon for myself during Saturdays. Night time is not included since we are all tired of work and we just sleep, i can't even talk to her because i would go home late since im busy preparing everyone and Neung to take charge while im on my maternity leave too. Plus i have plans for us today. So give me time with my wife will you? You can have her tomorrow, i will not interfere, just give me my time." i looked at my sister. "Please Phi? "

Neung came near me and faced me. I can foresee that she will reason with whatever i said and i dont want it.

" Ok, we understand you Sam. But please listen to me also ok? We came here to actually pick you two up. Its not just us, the whole family is coming. Grandma organized a weekend getaway for us, especially to treat you after the chaos in the company. They are on their way with Mon's parents now. And we promise we will not interfere with you two. We will wait for tomorrow."

"A weekend getaway? And you never told us about this?"

"We tried to contact you last night but you are not answering. Auntie Len said you two slept early so that's the reason why."

"Where?"

"Koh Samet."

I was about to scold them when i heard Mon calling for me.

"Stay here and don't make a noise. Not a single sound. I will ask Mon if she wants to go but if she wont we are staying and you all can go and leave us alone. Are we clear?"

They all just nod and i rushed upstairs, not before glaring at them.

"Dada?" Mon called again when i entered our room

"Im here Mami. Do you need anything?" i asked when she went out of the bathroom

"I just got worried when i woke up without you."
