45 - Preparations

MON

"Lady Mon! Good afternoon my lady."

"Good afternoon Pri. Is Sam busy?"

"They're wrapping up the meeting already. She sent me here to welcome you."

"Thanks Pri." Priya escorted me upstairs and led me to a Sam's office. I went to my wife's desk and tidied up her things. I sat on her chair and waited for Pri to come back from the pantry.

"Are the people from the events team around already?" i inquired as she served me some snacks.

"They're not yet here but they called earlier that they're on there way already." the meeting starts at 2. Its 1:30 so im early.

"Good coz we have lots of planning to do for Bunny's birthday next month."

"The young miss is turning one already!"

"Yes Pri. It feels like its just yesterday when i held her in my arms for the first time and in a blink of an eye, its her first birthday already. Im not yet ready. She's growing up so fast!"

The door opened revealing my wife in all her blinding glory. She immediately smiled as she sees me sitting on her chair.

"Your claiming my chair again Kornkamon. Are you trying to take over my position?" she asked and sat on the visitor's chair in front of me.

"Do i look good sitting here Love? Your chair is comfortable though."

"You do Mami. You always look good whenever and wherever you are. And yes that chair is very comfortable you should get one in your office." she said. I stood up to give her chair back but instead of exchanging seats with her, she pulled me on her lap and gave me a kiss, all in front of a now smiling Pri.

"Sam!" i stopped her making ger laugh.

"Its just Pri Mami. She's very used to us already. Right Pri?" her secretary just smiled and bowed her head.

"I'll give you privacy now My Ladies. I'll call you when the events team arrived."

Pri then left the two of us. Im so embarrassed with what happened, i know its very normal to us but not in front of her employee.

"Relax Mami. Have you seem Pri's face? She's happy. Pri is not just a secretary to me, she's like my younger relative and i trust her so much. I know she's more happy for us than embarrassed. So who's looking after our Bunny now?"

I leaned back to her and she immediately hugged me. "Bunny's with Mae, Phaw and Grandma. I dropped my parents there before going here. They're planning to have dinner later too. So we need to finish this meeting early so you can go back to work and finish all you need to do before we leave at 5."

"Our meeting starts at 2. I asked Pri to prepare my meeting room so they can use the equipments there for their presentation. Im sure she prepared snacks for everyone too. Love, you sure you dont want it to be at home? I mean the venue?" Sam asked me again. We've talked about it last night and i told her that the venue will be in grandma's, the Anuntrakul's Ancestral home.

I looked at Sam agian. My arms around her neck.

"Im sure Love. Its the home of the Anuntrakul's, its just right that Bunny will celebrate her first birthday there. And just like what i said last night, i asked Grandma about it and she told me that all of the Anuntrakul Heirs celebrated their first birthday there. You celebrated you 1st there too. I love to continue that tradition Dada. Besides i dont know if i'm also now taking your habits and whims but i dont like the idea of strangers inside our home. Its our private space so i kinda want it just for ourselves. We can always have a mini celebration there with family and friends, you know the usual gang."
