Chapter 20

Sam continued to eat quietly while Mon went to her table and tried to fix the papers on it. She decided to sit on Sam's seat and checked on what her wife is doing. Being incharge of Diversity helped her understand more on this aspect of business since she's also checking on her company's financial statement herself. Plus she's forced to take and graduate a business course before taking over Diversity. Its one of Sam's request before she passed her the office. Since Mon doesn't want to disappoint her and their grandma she decided to do everything she could, to learn things about business.

"Khun Neung told me about the problem but i did not expect how big this is. This is fraud and embezzlement? This is a serious problem."

"Its what the culprit did. I'm reviewing everything. A lower ranked employee will never do this without anyone to back her up and even a higher rank one cant do this alone. Im sure someone is sabotaging the company and i will give them hell when i find out who. That's the reason why im so stressed out, i can't trust people form finance and accounting anymore. So im doing it myself."

Mon took a seat beside her wife. Who's now having dessert already.

" You should have told me."

"I don't want to stress you out. Its bad for you and Bunny. Sorry Mami..." Sam then bent down and kissed her unborn child. "Sorry Bun."

"But still, you should've asked help from other people. You're starting to go back to the old you Love. And i dont like it since you are doing good in accepting people in your life now. We are all here to help you, Khun Neung, Pri, your own staff here. You can all work together to solve this. Dont close your door to those who are willing to offer help. More brains is always better than one. Trust them Sam, just how they trust you too."

Sam just looked at her wife the whole time she is speaking. She then went to tuck her head on her wife's neck the closed her eyes. Her scent, her voice, even the sound of her breathing, all of it calmed her down.

"Im sorry again." Sam whispered

"Its ok now, were ok now." Silence enveloped the couple. Mon can feel her wife's breathing calmly.

"Do you want to take a nap for a while? I'll wake you up after an hour. You need to rest too my Love."

There's no response from her. When Mon looked, her wife is already asleep. They stayed like that for minutes before she lay Sam down. She looked at her wife's face. Her eye bags are prominent, eyebrows wrinkling even in her sleep. She massaged her forehead until Sam relaxed.

Opening the door got everyone's attention again. Everyone is tensed and silent, afraid of what mews she's about to say. Or scared of what their boss' state is. Pri rushed to her side with a worried expression.

"Lady Mon?"

"Move the meeting in an hour Pri. Khun Sam is having a nap." Mon said with a smile. The secretary released a sigh of relief. "You can breathe now Pri. Did the external accountants arrived already?"

"yes Lady Mon. Lady Neung is talking to them at the moment."

"How about the papers Sam asked?"

"Its here Lady Mon..."

"Make copies of that then give it to the accountants to review. We need to get through this as soon as possible."

"Yes My Lady. Please dont stress yourself too much."

"Thanks Pri. I'll get back inside. Please don't disturb us."

"I will not do such thing My Lady. Please take a good rest."
