Chapter 24

Minho's pov
"did aunt have kids?" I asked looking t my father with wide eyes...it doesn't make sense...chan is a water bender the only explanation is that his father was a water bender...which means...which means a freaking mess, our father told us that we had an aunt but she died that's it...nothing more.
"how...how did you survive?" my father said looking at chan who was crying.
"I was...i was six at that time my sister was just a baby...all I know is that we were attacked...when we were running then nari and I were saved by King hwang...my parents didn't make it though" chan said.
"you have a sister" my mom gasped crying too.
"who...who attacked you?" I asked walking toward him.
He looked down silence filling the place before he glanced at my father"his men"he said making me freeze.

"dad, what is the meaning of this? Did you kill your own sister?" Felix yelled as I stood shocked not knowing what to say or do.
"that's not what happened felix..."
"don't mom...look at him he just fell silent....tell me...tell me he is lying"felix said walking closer to him yet my dad did not look at him once...
"omg"I murmured filling myself on average of crying...
"he did not felix...listen please"my mom said trying to calm him.
"explain"I said making my father look at me" talk now or I swear..."I yelled making his eyes widen...
"minho calm down...you are getting out of control"my mom said, she is right...i am boiling with anger right now...if he really caused his sister's death I have no idea how I will be able to forgive him for something like this...
"it is not his fault..."

"it is" my father cut my mom off shaking his head, my whole world froze hearing his words...i can't believe it."if I didn't oppose their relationship...if...i was the reason why she left home..."he added not looking once at us.
"father, how could you?" I asked clenching my jaw.
"chan, I am sorry son...i...am sorry to you and your sister...i feel so ashamed of what I did...you must hate me...no hate doesn't give it justice...i..."
"I don't hate"chan cut him off making all of us look at him surprised." I blamed you for years for what happened I don't hate you"he added.
"are you kidding me?" felix said shaking his head in disbelief, he is right if I knew that a person caused my parents to die I would have burned them alive.
"before king hwang found us...when we were still with my parents...my mom...she told me not to hate you" chan said with years streaming down his face" and she was right...you were not the one to blame...this whole system...this whole enmity is the reason for all this...for my parents' death...."he added taking a deep breath" growing up I did not understand why she asked that from me...at times....at times I wanted to kill you"he added looking at my father.
"I deserve that"my father answered.

"my mother last wishes was to not hate you...she wanted me to meet you...all of you...i remember when I was young she told me that you had two kids" he paused looking at me and felix" I wanted to meet you...to feel how it is like to have a family...but I couldn't..."he added looking down.
He took a seat down before he continued" king hwang took me in...he raised me as his own son...he knew who I was...we were running toward the water kingdom...the king was a friend of my father and when my dad finally  told him about us he offered him a place to stay...he hid us from the water kingdom afraid that the king will be as angry as you" he looked at my father who looked so broke...
"chan..."
"king hwang had a big role in helping me...he raised me...he taught me everything....he was the one who changed how I look at you...if it wasn't for him....i wouldn't have moved on from what happened"he cut me off.

"how could you move on from something like this?" felix said he was crying now too.
"what should I do...take revenge...kill him...what will that get me...my parents are long gone...if I did not let go It would have destroyed me..."he answered with a small smile.
"you don't know the whole truth...tell them" my mom yelled at my father.
"it won't change anyhting...i started this..."
"your father sent the guards after them because he regretted his choice...he wanted a second chance....they were hiding for years....he looked for his sister for years...he was angry at first but then he regretted it..."my mom yelled" he wanted to bring them back to ask for forgiveness..."she added.
"then what happened?" I yelled" tell me"I added.
"some of the me ignored the orders...and attacked them...it is not your father's fault...all of them were sentenced to death..."
