Sirona greeted me as I walked in, the place not very full for the evening. "Hello love! What on earth have you done to yourself? Come, sit by the fire." She guided me toward the table by the fire, pulling out a chair for me to sit.
"It's alright, nothing too bad." I shot her a grin. "You seem to be in high spirits! I'm glad, although I am a bit surprised to find you alone. How did things go with what we discussed earlier?" I bit my lip, unsure of how to even begin to answer.
I found I didn't need to however, as the door crashed open with Ominis flinging his wand in every direction, looking for me. Sebastian walked in behind him, apologising for Ominis' behaviour. Sirona nodded, looking startled but also amused. "She's over here you two."
Ominis stormed over to me, wrapping me in a hug. I blushed, surprised and patted his back carefully. "I'm so sorry! I didn't know, can you ever forgive me?" He asked me, clinging to me. "Sebastian, what the hell did you say to him?" I asked as Sebastian joined us. "
Nothing that wasn't the truth. Hello Sirona, can we get three butterbeers please?" She nodded, returning to the bar to pour our drinks. I pried Ominis off me. "Ominis, my love it's ok!" I said quietly, but he still looked worried.
"If I in any way forced you to...""No no! You didn't. I'm...just not wanting to rush things. Alright?" I shot Sebastian a look, to which he shrugged. "I tried telling him that, but he panicked and wanted to come and find you. At least now we all know where we stand." He pulled up a chair next to mine, while Ominis sat on my other side closer to the wall.
"Three Butterbeers. You three seem awfully close, any happy news to report?" Sirona gave me a knowing smile, the same one she had given me when I had first asked her about dating. She knew right from the start what these two thought of me. I blushed, a smile creeping its way onto my face.
Sebastian and Ominis' faces were also red, though neither were in any hurry to answer. I took a deep breath. "Well...things worked out exactly the way I wanted them too." I saw Sebastian and Ominis turn to me in unison, looking at me in confusion.
"Well, I'm very happy for you then. Truly. I wish you all the happiness in the world." She said, turning and returning to look after the bar, while I felt both boys wanting an answer. "Uh...so I had a bit of confusion when I realised how much I liked you both.. Sirona helped me work through some things." Sebastian glanced back at Sirona, who gave him a friendly wave.
"So, she knows?" I nodded. "Oh good, so I can do this." He kissed me on the nose, chucking as my face went more red. Ominis laid his head on my shoulder, sighing. "I missed you..." "Ominis you only saw me moments ago!" I laughed. "Technically I've never seen you darling." He said coyly.
After sitting in each others company for awhile, Sirona turned on the gramophone in the corner. Music began to play, and I listened intently. It was a very sweet melody, slow but fun. I swayed in my seat, enjoying the music quietly.
Sebastian startled me when he got up from his chair, offering me a hand. My face went red. "Oh...But I..I don't know how to dance." He smiled. "Don't worry, let me teach you." I took his hand, letting him tug me up as he put a hand firmly around my waist to hold me steady.
We stepped back a bit away from the table, swaying to the mellow tune, my arm holding onto Sebastian's shoulder so as not to lose balance. I glanced around, noticing the few patrons that were there had begun to watch us. "Sebastian..." I said softly, nervous.
He smiled, lifting me high and twirling me, my dress billowing out around us as my feet left the ground. I laughed in surprise, gripping Sebastian tightly. He put me back down, once again swaying. "See? It's not so hard." I nodded in approval.
I felt another arm wrap around my waist, and was only mildly surprised to see Ominis had come up behind the two of us, pouting. "It's not fair if you get all the attention." Somehow he was matching our movements, the three of us dancing in some crazy sort of synchronicity. I giggled, leaning back to look up at him.
"Feeling left out, my love?" He huffed, kissing my forehead. Sebastian pulled Ominis closer, sandwiching me in between them as we continued to move, the song slowly trailing off. I could stay in their embrace forever.
However, I felt my leg starting to give out on me, reluctantly I wriggled free and back to my seat. "Did we do something wrong?" Ominis asked. "Not at all, that was perfect my loves. Unfortunately, I'm still injured."
I sipped my butterbeer thoughtfully. "Ominis, tell me about your family?" He grimaced, also taking a large swig of his butterbeer. "They're your stereotypical purebloods I suppose. Horrible and cruel to muggles or Muggleborns, they despise the mixing of magical blood. I hate that we have to stay with them whenever we can't be at Hogwarts." I swallowed hard.
I wondered how they'd react to knowing I was a Muggleborn? I hadn't even told Ominis or Sebastian yet, though my hope was that since Ominis despised his family so much, he'd be more accepting. Then an idea popped into my head, a wonderful, but also dangerous idea.
"What if you didn't have to go back?" I said slowly. I saw Sebastian gawk at me. "I thought you didn't want us moving too quickly?" I smacked his arm gently. "Not what I mean. The truth is, neither of you really want to go to your homes anymore...while I know my family to be extremely hospitable...there'd just be a few uh...quirks."
"What kind of quirks?" Ominis asked carefully. I took a deep breath. "Well...let's just say they're sort of...kind of...Muggles?" My statement hung in the air for a moment, before Ominis laughed heartily.
"THAT'S what you were worried about Darling? I'm sure your family are wonderful! And to be away from my own rotten family would be brilliant!" I sighed in relief. "You'd both have to be careful not to use magic in front of them, but yes, I could always ask for you two to stay with us on breaks. I'm sure my parents wouldn't mind as long as you helped them around the house."
I felt Sebastian nuzzle into my neck, Ominis also leaning his head onto my shoulder. "I think it would be perfect darling." "It would be nice to stay in a place that felt like home." I blushed, but nodded. "I'll write to my parents when we get back then." I smiled, my heart at peace. "I love you both so much, thank you for making me so exceedingly happy."
