The tunnels twisted and turned, getting more confusing by the second. The devil's snare constantly tried to creep in, the light from our wands the only thing keeping them away. As we reached another dead end, I let out a cry of frustration. Jason put a hand on my back.

"We will figure this out. We just need to keep moving." I sighed, knowing he was right. We kept moving, the darkness creating an even more eerie atmosphere as the silence enveloped us. It was too quiet.

"So...who did they pick for you?" I asked sheepishly. I heard Jason chuckle behind me. "My brother. He's a strong man but I still don't want anything bad to happen to him. And you?" I gulped nervously.

"Sebastian. He's...very important to me." "You did say as much. Though I wonder of your relationship with him. Was he just your date to the yule ball or...more?" I shook my head. "Jason I..." "I am asking because I was curious about pursuing a romantic relationship with you."

I stopped in surprise, causing him to bump into my back. "What?? Why me?!" "Well, you are my type, and you are...how do you say...spirited?" He sounded embarrassed. I cleared my throat, not entirely comfortable with the trend of guys suddenly showing interest in me.

"I'm sorry Jason, but I am taken." I said nervously, unsure if he would react like Leander. But, he simply sighed. "Of course, I understand. Whoever has your heart is a lucky one indeed. I hope that we can still be friends?"

I looked back at him with a smile, nodding. To be honest, I was relieved he took my rejection with such grace. Now, back to the task at hand. We kept moving, before coming across a small box on the ground.

Opening it, it contained a small red bottle. One antidote for whatever poison was affecting our loved ones. I handed it to Jason, giving him a small smile. "We can figure out which is which when we get out." He smiled gratefully, but his expression soured.

"But what about who wins?" "I don't care which one of us they place first or which they place last. I will be last If need be. My top priority is finding all vials of antidote for our loved ones." I started forward again, still moving quickly.

Soon, the passage we were in opened up to a large room filled with water. On the other side, another box. I let out a small breath of relief, before realising that the pathway over was a small set of stones, the water looked...strange.

I stedied myself, preparing to cross, but stopped. What if I dropped my wand when trying to cross? I sighed, putting my wand in my pocket. Jason eyed me curiously, but I ignored him. I prayed that Zuri's teachings would help me now.

Closing my eyes, I tried to focus on those that I loved, and how much they had helped me. "Lumos maxima!" I cast, tossing the orb of light now coming from my palms up high to illuminate the whole room.

Sure enough, the water was pitch black, with the tendrils of devil's snare coming up from under the water. "What the..." Jason trailed off behind me. I took a deep breath, measuring the jumps. I did not want to fall into that water, I would probably be pulled in and drown.

"Emmy wait, shouldn't I-" I didn't let Jason finish his statement, leaping to the first rock. I looked back at him, smiling. "Piece of cake." I sounded more confident than I felt. Carefully, I made my way over to the box, snatching it up.

I sighed in relief, quickly stepping back over the stones. Upon the last one, my foot slipped, causing me to scream as I fell toward the water. I could feel the devil's snare gripping my leg, pulling me into the water.

I felt Jason catch my arm, clinging to it and pulling me up to where it was safe. I swallowed, clutching the box to my chest. "Thank you."

Making our way out, we could see light coming from the entrance. I resisted the urge to run out with Jason, instead stopping and opening the box. A little blue bottle. So who would need which bottle?

I looked to Jason, who only shook his head and shrugged. We looked toward the beds, noticing that time was running out. I began to chew the inside of my lip, a nervous habit I had developed. Where were Alice and Zuri??

Was there some way we could find them faster?? I handed Jason the blue bottle. "What are you doing??" He asked, panic clearly in his voice. "I have to guide them! Or at least try to meet them halfway."

I stripped off my woolen jumper, pulling out a thread. "Hold this, I'll use it to guide me back. I'll be back as soon as I can." He nodded. "Be careful." As I cast Lumos, I started to run through passages. "Zuri! Alice!" I called.

We couldn't let them stay lost. "Zuri!" "Emily!" I heard Alice call. It was a bit further off. "Alice! Keep calling! We'll use Marco Polo! Marco!" Using this system, I twisted down a few more passages, before finding Zuri and Alice.

Zuri had passed out on the ground, Alice not wanting to leave her. "What the hell happened?" "I don't know! Something fell from the ceiling and Zuri pushed me aside!" Alice was panicking, her hands shaking.

I took her wrist. "Alice, listen to me. We have to get out of here. Do you have your potions?" She nodded, pulling out a green and yellow bottle. Great, this wasn't going to be easy to figure out...

"What do we do??" She asked me. I handed her the jumper, now only a sleeve. "See this thread? We're going to walk back along it. Jason has the other end, but we need to hurry. We can figure out our bottles outside."

I pulled Zuri up, draping her arms around my shoulders and lifting her legs around my torso. I slipped my wand back in my pocket, instead casting Lumos with my hand. "Don't run off without me. Let's go!"

We started racing toward the entrance, following the thread. Soon, we could see the light at the end of the tunnel again. "Right, Jason, Alice, you go first. Zuri and I will go next. I don't care if I'm last, We need to save our friends."

The two nodded, walking out to the cheering crowd. I turned, stepping out backward. I wouldn't let Zuri come last.
