The start of our sixth year in Hogwarts was at least calmer than the start of my fifth year. While I sat reading in our carriage, the scenery flashing by, I let my mind ponder on what was to come this year. The Triwizard tournament.

Sebastian had briefly explained it, but I was still very curious as to what the actual events entailed. I had already been in the wizarding world for over a year, and yet it kept finding new ways to surprise me.

I closed my book, returning it to my bag so I could instead lean on the window. "Is something the matter?" Poppy asked me, eyeing my now discarded book in my bag. Poppy had changed quite a bit over the summer, her hair was now longer and tied back in a loose bun, and she had grown a little taller, but not by much. "Not at all Poppy, just excited for the new year."

Poppy had been ecstatic when she found us on the platform, dragging me away from Sebastian and Ominis to sit with her and Natty on the train ride to Hogwarts. While I adored the summer that Sebastian, Ominis, and I had spent together, I also missed my friends.

"I can imagine this is a tad more boring than a Dragon attack, but perhaps now you can appreciate the carriages we normally would take to Hogwarts?" Natty suggested, to which I nodded. Natty had also changed, her hair was now much shorter than before, forming an adorable little afro.

But it wasn't just that, she sounded older too, as though she had matured in the time that she had returned to Uagadou. Strange how people could change in the little ways when you didn't see them, but remained the same at their core.

"Hey, what can you two tell me about the Triwizard tournament? Sebastian and Ominis mentioned it earlier." I asked, my curiosity now overwhelming me. Natty's eyes lit up, as she excitedly took my hands.

"I have only ever seen it once when I was much younger, but it is where multiple wizarding schools visit each other and compete in dangerous tasks in order to win the Triwizard cup! It can be very exciting to watch! It only happens every 5 years!" I smiled at her enthusiasm.

"So does everyone compete? Or is it one person per school?" "One per school Is the rule I believe. People volunteer to take part, anyone can volunteer, and someone gets picked randomly by the goblet of fire." Poppy chimed in, eager to take part in the conversation.

"A what?" "A goblet of fire, which at the moment is at Hogwarts as they will be the ones to host this year." I nodded, thinking. It seemed like an interesting tournament, but one that I would definitely just be happy to just watch. "And...I heard about something called a Yule Ball?" I asked.

Poppy and Natty shared a look and smiled. "Yes, the yule ball takes place around Christmas, when young gentlemen ask young ladies to be their dates. Do you have a date in mind already?" Natty smirked, to which I blushed. Neither she nor Poppy knew about my dating Ominis and Sebastian yet. "Well, I..."

"Hello, you three! Do you mind if we join you?" Sebastian asked from the door, sliding in, with Ominis close behind. Speak of the devils and they will appear I suppose. Sebastian gave me a sly wink, sitting across from me. "Ah, hello you two! We were just discussing the Yule ball!" Poppy relayed, her eyes flicking toward me and back, making my face flush even more.

"Ah yes, well...it's not my sort of thing but it will probably be a fun night." Sebastian lied, his cheeks turning the slightest shade of pink. Ominis smiled quietly, grinning from ear to ear. "Yes, well I do believe it will be." A silence fell over the carriage, as the unspoken words between Sebastian, Ominis, and myself were understood, meanwhile Poppy and Natty didn't seem to understand.

I cleared my throat. "It looks to be an interesting year, hopefully, it won't interfere with our schoolwork too much." "When has that ever stopped you from achieving top marks?" Sebastian said playfully, to which I rolled my eyes. "Never, but it doesn't hurt to be careful."

As we arrived within the familiar walls of Hogwarts, I waved to my friends and boyfriends as I left to sit at the Ravenclaw table in the great hall. It was nice to be on time for once. As we sat and ate, professor black gave a speech about the new school year.

"Now, I am delighted to welcome our new guests from Durmstrang and Beauxbatons, but also students from Uagadou! Let's all give a hand to our visiting friends." Professor Black announced as new tables appeared in order to accommodate the new students.

I clapped politely, glancing over to Natty, who was excitedly waving to the students from Uagadou. No wonder she was so excited! She must have known that they'd be a part of the tournament. "Now, for those of you who are unaware, this year Hogwarts will be hosting the Triwizard tournament, for which students may volunteer. Professor Weasly, please explain."

Professor Black stepped to the side, and Professor Weasley stepped forward. With a flick of her wand, a burst of pink and blue fire erupted from the ground, slowly traveling upward and revealing what looked like a metal goblet.

"This is the Goblet of Fire. Students who are wishing to enter the Triwizard tournament will simply need to write their name on a piece of parchment and place it within the blue flames coming from the goblet. In a week's time, the goblet will reveal the names of our 4 champions. I must warn you all, however, the Triwizard tournament consists of 3 extremely dangerous tasks. Therefore, think extremely carefully. For once you enter your name, and should your name be called? There is no going back. Good luck."

I felt the solemn tone in her words wash over me as my peers turned to each other in excitement. I had no idea of what was to come, however, I was glad that it was only volunteers who got picked.
