|Third Person's POV|
"You're finally back!" Freya yelled and jumped in Elias' arms right when they stepped out of the penthouse elevator.
"And you've gotten heavier." Elias remarked, lifting the little girl in his arms.
"That's a bad thing to tell a lady." Freya crossed her arms.
"And apparently more talkative." Andre commented with a chuckle.
"I heard that!" The little girl pointed her finger and Dawn couldn't help but notice how she resembled angry Iris.
"Move, move, let me to my kid!" Silver-haired woman moved away her guests and strangled her daughter in a bone-crushing hug.
"Too tight, mom." Gwen managed to say. Frost apologized and hugged her daughter lighter this time. Next she strangled her niece and nephew and then the rest of the kids.
"Okay, I think you've all grown taller." She remarked at last.
"Thank god, or else Sofia would forever stay the gnome." Elias snickered and earned a thwack in his head. "Ouch, Sof!"
"Had to known better before commenting on my height." She glared and walked away to find her parents along with her brother.
Ronnie smirked. "You never learn, huh?"
"Shut up, you're like me too." Dark haired boy glared.
"Idiots." Gwen muttered and walked away with her mother, two of them looking as identical as possible. Elias left too and the Allen siblings went to find their parents as well. They found the couple near the big glass window. Barry was filling champagne for his wife as she made him laugh.
"Get ready for another bone-crushing hug." Dawn whispered to her brother before calling to their parents. Ronnie only laughed and repeated her action. In the matter of seconds, both parents pulled their children in never-ending hold. When they greeted everyone else on the party, Dawn settled next to her dad on a couch. She sipped from her champagne glass while Barry told her everything that went by in Central City.
"So, how's everything in YJ?" He asked finally, looking at his daughter with expectation. "I haven't heard from yall in a long time."
"Everything's as normal as it can be. Sorry I didn't call. I was kinda busy." She apologized. Truth be told, Dawn wasn't busy. She just didn't want to talk to her dad until she had solid information in her hands, like Andre cracking the words on the paper and the chip. She didn't want to disappoint him.
Barry eyed her carefully. "Is this about your boyfriend we never met?"
Dawn choked on her drink. "What? No. Besides, you could've visited and met him."
"First of all, that wouldn't be an official meeting, it would be a hero to hero meeting. And I want to meet my daughter's boyfriend." He put his drink on the coffee table and crossed his arms.
"Dad, we have more important things to do." Young speedster told him seriously.
"Nothing's more important than my daughter." Barry said with equal seriousness.
They sat like that for few seconds, looking each other straight in the eyes with crossed arms, none of them blinking, moving or uttering a word.
"Wow, I feel like I arrived in a civil war." Cisco mumbled and sat between the speedsters. "It's better if I sit here, or else you two might explode."
Father-daughter duo snapped out of their daze and grabbed their drinks again. None of them said a word to one another only talking if Cisco said anything directly to them. Perhaps, their relationship wasn't back to normal, after all. Beginning from Dawn's outburst about joining the YJ and then not talking for a long time, finally talking but not too often, mostly through Caitlin or Ronnie and then no visiting or meeting, candidly, they were not all right at all.
