|Third Person's POV|
"Hi Beanie," Dawn burst in her boyfriend's room after he gave the permission.
"Dawn, I had nightmares from that." Kyle said in a warning tone but a small laugh still escaped him. He was cleaning his drawer that seemed to be full of writings on papers.
"What are those?" Dawn pointed at the papers.
Kyle quickly closed the drawer. "My declarations of love to you." He smirked.
Silver speedster rolled her eyes. "Right, cause that's why there was 'Battle' written on the paper."
"Well, loving you is like a battle that I'm winning." He shrugged and Dawn shoved him with a notebook on the desk.
"That's just rubbish." She crossed her arms and sat down on his bed. "And careful, I can always leave beans under your pillow."
Kyle shuddered. "If you watched my crazy neighbor eat those every time, you would be scared of those too."
"Where they always green?" She chuckled.
"Always." He shuddered again. Apparently, such phobia existed. "They're so small and horrible, I just hate it."
"You can't hate what you are, Beanie."
Kyle groaned and sat on a orange spinning chair opposite from her. "So what, I should call you sea?"
"I'm not scared of seas." Dawn scoffed.
"Sure, waves."
"That's outmost the stupidest nickname I've ever heard." She rolled her eyes in absurdity.
"Better than Beanie." Kyle chuckled.
"Right, Beanie." She gave him a teasing smile. "I can always cook them without you noticing."
"Don't you love me, waves? Why must you torture me?" Kyle mocked the hurt expression.
"It's not torturing, just a warning. If you'll ever hurt me, I'll slip beans in your food and anywhere I want."
Kyle shuddered and suddenly became too pale. Dawn rose from the bed and placed her hand on his forehead. "You okay? You are as pale as Snow White." She asked in concern. "I promise I won't slip beans under your pillow if that's making you sick." She cracked a smile but Kyle only shook his head and removed her hand.
"I'm fine. Just major flashback of my neighbor again." He answered curtly. "Wanna get pizza? I'm super hungry." He stood up and grabbed his phone.
"You realize I'm a speedster and I can just run and get pizza, right?"
"I don't want to bother your." He replied. "Want pizza or not?"
"No." Dawn answered and he placed the phone on the desk again. Dawn didn't like the change in his demeanor so she walked up to him. "You don't seem fine at all."
"Neither do you when you see the sea." He shrugged of her concern.
Dawn wrinkled her nose. "That just doesn't sound right."
Kyle shrugged and played with a wooden figure Connor made for him. Supergirl's son was gifted with wood-carving skills and he had made figures for everyone in YJ. He made this figure on Kyle's birthday. It was him, standing like a fighter and holding daggers. From all the people Dawn knew, no one was as skilled as Kyle in weaponry, especially with daggers. He and Rue often trained together because of that and their fights were always interesting.
Kyle turned over the figure and traced his thumb over the carving underneath. 'K.E.C' Dawn remembered the initials from when she saw those on the screen in the enemies lair. It was Kyle's file.
