|Third Person's POV|

"Stand on your ground, Gwen!" Frost scolded as her daughter struggled to stay still.

"Maybe you should go a little soft?" Dawn suggested upon seeing her best friend worn out.

". . . No." Gwen ground out as she attacked her mom. "I have to control this. It's like your powers."

"Well, it's true, but now that I think of, too much training didn't do me good." Dawn tried to reason but Frost shook her head.

"This is not over-training. Gwen needs to explore all the sides of her powers and control them."

"And I'm not against of it." Her best friend added.

"Are you sure you're not just tyring to avoid Jordan?"

An ice dagger flew towards Dawn who managed to duck right in time.

"That could've killed me!" She yelled.

"I knew you were fast enough!" Gwen called and went back to her training.

"Okay, then this means I should leave and think about our undercover mission." Young speedster mumbled to herself.

Actually, they had discussed the mission and they decided to go for it. By all honesty, Dawn still doubted it since Kyle was strictly against of it last night on the team meeting. He kept claiming it was too dangerous for them to go and plus the hideout might be destroyed but well, the majority decided it was worth a try.

All that was left was to settle on who would go on the mission.

Two things that were clear were that Kyle would definitely go and the Supers wouldn't.

Because Kyle knew everything there and it was deadly dangerous for any of the Supers to go.

Today, in the evening they will discuss who will go on the mission.

Dawn wants to go. She really does.

But she also doesn't. Because if she goes, she's gonna see what Kyle's capable of and what he did when he was on the enemy's side. And she really doesn't want that.

Because she actually started to like him. For real.

"Sister of mine and she looks nothing like me." Ronnie smirked while wrapping an arm around her shoulders.

Dawn rolled her eyes. "Now what?"

"Nothing. Just the fact that Christmas is coming and it's my favourite holiday and yours too and you seem very gloomy." He replied matter-of-factly.

"I'm thinking about the mission."

Ronnie cringed. "That's a horrible idea. What's the point on worrying about it?"

"Umm, why is there no point?"

"For starters, it's stupid. And you worry for no reason because we'll be prepared and if we won't then we'll just flee back. No biggie." He shrugged.

Dawn stared at him with clueless expression.

"Ignore him, he's been talking like this for whole day." Tess popped out next to her. "It's getting annoying."

"I'm his sister and I'm genuinely irritated. I can't imagine what his girlfriend must be going through." Dawn scoffed and Tess agreed with a glare towards her boyfriend.

"Last night he forgot our two months anniversary."

Dawn glared at her brother as well.

"What?" Ronnie gave them a look. "Who even celebrates two months anniversary?"
