|Third Person's POV|

First thing Dawn heard was a soft melody, a song she couldn't recognize. She wondered if anyone in the room was listening to music, but she couldn't even remember who she was with.

But then she saw him. Dressed in his signature black costume, but unlike Blink, he looked more like Kyle, as his mask was missing and his hair was down instead of a low ponytail.

"I was hoping you would wake up soon." He said as he noticed her hazel eyes wide open. Dawn didn't say anything in return, so he continued. "Don't worry, Livia's safe. Well, as safe as she can be in a room full of Kryptonites." He shrugged and clicked on the keyboard. Livia's unconscious body appeared on the screen, next to her mother's and Dawn felt guilty of not thinking for her friend's whereabouts first.

It pained her to see her best friend like that, but she had to play smart. Which meant letting Kyle talk while she forged a new plan in her mind.

"Aren't you going to say anything?" He sat on a chair in front of her. Dawn, who was strapped on the chair in the middle of the room, with cuffs blocking her powers, stared blankly at the floor, ignoring forest green eyed boy completely.

That irked him. "Answer me!"

She still uttered absolutely nothing.

"I'm sorry, okay? I'm sorry that I lied to you! I never meant to hurt you, I swear!" He ran a hand through his hair, sign of his exhaustion and worry.

"You're sorry?" Dawn spat out. "I never meant to hurt you." She mimicked his desperate tone. "Bullshit."

"At least that made you talk!" He glared, then calmed down a bit. "And I meant it, Dawn. You were never the subject of my plans."

"See, that's exactly what I think I was." She rolled her eyes. "You injured me so I had to got to Speed Force!"

"That's because you made it harder for everyone to trust me!"

"And then I turned out to be the biggest fool by loving you!" She couldn't help the tears falling as she shouted the last words. She wanted to be strong, to be brave and not shed a single tear in front of him, but she was broken. And he was still the boy she had feelings for.

"You loved me?" He asked so quietly, it shattered Dawn's heart even more. It seemed like he couldn't even believe that she could love him.

"I... I did. But then you went and betrayed me! Do you know how much that hurt me?! How much you hurt me?! You lied, and schemed and played with my feelings as if I was a toy you could toss away when you'd get bored!"

All the anguish she bottled up inside was begging to come out, but she held still, holding to the last bits of strength she had.

"I'm sorry." He said again. "I... I loved you too. I just... the revenge... my mom..." He couldn't seem to gather words, but that made Dawn even angrier.

"Revenge. Of course." She barked sarcastically. "You could've been happy but you chose to focus on your anger and pain instead of dealing with them and moving on. Instead of healing! And look where that got you. Your teammates are caught and you are cornered in your little house."

"I still have the Kryptonians here! And I'll have my friends back! Your team is strong, but their biggest weakness is that they care. And they will do this exchange, especially when they'll realize I have Livia here too."

Dawn wanted to point out that he cared too, coming from the fact that he was doing this exchange but her mind fixated on the other thing.

"You aren't going to use me as a leverage? You only said Livia and Kara." She questioned, not taking her eyes off of him and trying to guess what he was thinking.
