Belled walked out of her house with food in her hand to feed her son.

When she saw Jun wrapped in Neak's arms, she smiled. But then she saw the way Neak was looking at Jun and her heart wrenched.

She contained herself before walking up to them.

"Jun, time for your meal. And Neak, you should eat too." She said and kept one small portion for Jun and one large basket of fruits in front of Neak. Jun woke up and looked at the spread in front of him rubbing his eyes.

Neak grimaced.

"Ha! Don't eat. Why make face huh? Do you think I can climb trees to get food for a giant like you?" Belle got upset with the kind of face the dragon made looking at the fruits.

Jun chuckled. "Mom, he is not herbivore. And besides, didn't you really climb the tree to get these many fruits?" He raised his eyebrow.

Neak purred with happiness and ducked its head near Belle asking her to pat him.

Belle eyed the giant for a while before giving up and patting its head with love. Jun giggled at the sight and quickly placed a kiss on his mother's cheek. "You are the sweetest, mom."

Neak frowned and nudged Jun this time.

Jun chuckled and kissed Neak's head. "You know I love you the most, don't you?"

Belle saw the affection the two shared.

How she knew that much food wasn't enough for the giant, but still Jun would feed him with his hand and then eat his meal. How Neak too knew this was tasteless for him but still enjoyed every bite because Jun fed him.

Belle would observe the two having a bond that no one else could understand. But she also observed how Neak used to feel lonely when Jun was with his mother or with the others who were like Jun and his mother, beings of their species who started to appear more and more after the monster dragon was dead.

There was a whole village of people around them while Neak only had Jun.

Jun too never mingled with others just to accompany Neak.

When Mother Venus saw Belle sad, she asked her about what was concerning her.

"I am afraid that Neak will get alone if I stop Jun from getting along with it. And I am also afraid that Jun will not be able to mingle in his own species if he keeps accompanying Neak."

Mother Venus smiled. "I don't think that's the only concern."

Belle looked at her knowing that nobody can hide anything from her. So she gave up and told her real concern. "What scares me is that they will be alone if something happens. The villagers are already jealous of the connection they share."

"Their bond is beyond love and trust. They are more like the two blessings the almighty gave me. And their existence without each other hold no meaning as well." Mother Venus said to Belle explaining to her about how her worries about not mingling with others cannot be resolved because the two will never leave each other's side even if the world around them changes one day.

But she then turned to Belle with a grin. "But I can try and solve one concern for you."

.

Belle started praying to the almighty like how Mother Venus had told her. She started praying day and night non-stop for several years when finally, the almighty occurred in front of her.

"We already gave two boons to Venus. Why are you using her method to lure us? Don't you have Neak and Jun as your own two sons?" The almighty questioned Belle.
