"But Mrs. Jackson, I don't understand." I looked at the history professor, Mr. Brock.

"What are you not understanding?"

"Why am I being fired?" I made a face at him.

"Seriously?"

"Seriously." I pulled out the file and opened it.

"You've had over twenty complaints over the past couple months. They range from sexual harassment to inappropriate behavior in the workplace. You've made sexual comments to students, both male and female. There's a quote here that states that you said to an junio that you would 'tear that shit up if you were mine." I looked at him. He moved his mouth around.

"Those are not true reports." He maneuvered in his seat.

"Mr. Brock, you can't lie to a psychologist. I studied body language and you're obviously lying. I have put your termination through the system. You no longer have a position here. Now can you walk out of here or does security have to walk you out?"

"This some dumb shit. I've put in so much hard work into this university. I'll be damned if I have to leave it behind."

"Be damned then because you're leaving." I pressed a button on my phone. "Lauren, please have security come and escort Mr. Brock out for me."

"Right away, ma'am." He looked at me angrily.

"This is messed up. What if those girls had come onto me?"

"Did they?" I tilted my head and he looked away.
"Exactly. You made those girls feel uncomfortable and a few will be opening cases against you."

"Of course. Hope for the fall of a black man." I looked up at him.

"This isn't about the fall of a black man and don't you dare ever expect me to support your disgusting behavior just because you're black. I don't know what twisted idea you have about your place in this world but you are not above justice." There was a knock at my door. "Come in." Two security officers walked in.

"You called for an escort out."

"Yes, Mr. Brock here and he is to not be allowed back on campus."

"Yes, ma'am." They grabbed him and took him out. He yelled some things at me but I couldn't make it out because I really didn't care. They closed my door as they left. I turned in my chair.

"He's a crazy man, isn't he?" I picked up Jordan and stood him in my lap. He smiled and stuck his tongue out. That's been his thing lately. He is going to be four months soon and he was the happiest of my babies. He rarely even cried anymore. "Crazy, crazy man." I bounced him. I sat him on my lap and continued working.

Beep. I pressed the intercom button. "Yes, Lauren?"

"You have some surprise visitors today." Her voice was cheerful so I knew exactly who it was but I wanted to play along.

"Well, who could they be? I wasn't expecting anyone."

"I don't know Mrs. Jackson, they don't look familiar. Should I send them away?"

"I don't know. Did they do their homework?" I heard them say yes.

"They said they did, ma'am."

"Then I guess they could come in."

"Alright." I turned it off and waited. My door opened and I saw three heads bounce around my desk.

"Hi, mommy!" The twins hugged my legs and Josiah tried to jump up at me.

"Mommy!" I sat Jordan on my desk and gave him his toy, which he banged on the desk. Next, I sat Josiah with him before picking the twins up and sat them in my lap.
