I opened my eyes and was met with darkness. I moved my arm and realized there was an IV in it. Pulling together my strength, I moved up in the bed and looked for the hospital remote. When I found it, I found the light button and turned the lights on causing me to squint.

Once my eyes got adjusted, I looked around for Toni. I didn't see her so I clicked the nurse's button. It took a few minutes, but a nurse came in. "Well, it's nice to see you up."

"Ummm, where's my wife?"

"Oh she should be back soon. After a couple days in here, she said she desperately needed a shower. I promised her to check in on you and tell you where she was when you woke up."

"Couple of days?"

"Yes, you had some vaginal bleeding due to stress that caused the babies to go into serious distress. Luckily, we got everything back in order. You almost had an emergency c section. Luckily everything's okay."

"Good. But why was I asleep for two days?"

"We kept you asleep until the babies calmed down. You did wake up a few times but you just don't remember because of the medication."

"Okay."

"When will...."

"Hey, look who's up." Toni came in and kissed my forehead. She smelled amazing.

"Hey, I woke up and didn't see you. I was worried."

"I'm right here, baby. Just needed to wash the stink off of me." I laughed.

"She said the babies were okay."

"I know."

"Good."

"Our princesses are strong. Just like their mommy." She kissed me.

"I'll let the doctor know you're up."

"Thank you." Toni sat down. "I'm surprised she's here this late."

"When Missy heard that you were back in the hospital, she cleared her schedule."

"It's good to have great friends."

"I know."

"Well, well. If it isn't miss disobedient." I rolled my eyes as Missy walked in.

"I wasn't disobedient."

"Then why are you back in this hospital?"

"I don't know."

"I'm just messing with you. It looks like you had a small rupture. We've managed to stop it. The babies are fine, however, you'll be staying in the hospital until the babies are born."

"My due date it's for almost another month."

"Yep. The twins have a little more development to do, but we can't risk anything. You're officially high risk. We have to be very careful."

"Okay." Toni and Missy looked at me in shock.

"Okay? You're not going to complain or resist?" Toni asked.

"No. This is too much of a risk. I can't endanger my babies anymore. So I will do what I have to do and listen to you."

"Child, the world is coming to an end." said Missy. They laughed.

"Shut up. Toni, can you..."

"I'll go home and pack some of your things up then bring the boys to see you."

"Thank you." I laid back.

"I'm going to put you on a very clean diet. You can have one bad treat in the morning and one at night. No more."
